Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner – Review

IMG_1562

I’ve only heard about this brand for just under a year now as it’s only recently became known in the magazines i read and on blogs.
Eyeko products are a little on the pricy side but i think they are worth the price.

‘Our easy-to-apply, liquid eyeliner pen allows you to create thick feline flicks or fine defined lines to accentuate your eyes.  With our unique long-lasting formula featuring key ingredient Sodium Hyaluronate for a gratifying, colour-intense smudge-proof finish.’ Eyeko

Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner – Black

I remember getting a tester in a magazine a while back and testing it out, when i first used it i must admit we didn’t get along and it went in my makeup back and wasn’t touched. I then re discovered it while doing my makeup the other day and I’ve fallen in love!

I think the reason i first didn’t get on with it was because when i first used it, it seemed like it had already ran out and was coming out patchy. But after giving it another go It came out fine and i haven’t had a problem with it.

It helps me make the best winged eyeliner and it stays put all day and once it’s dried it does not budge! It’s also super easy to clean off with makeup remover which is a plus, as no one likes to spend ages trying to get eyeliner off their eyelids! Sometimes you have to re go over the lines to make it more darker but that does not bother me.

The nib is bigger at the bottom and thin at the top which is perfect for getting the line precise when doing a winged look. Also you can either press lightly for a fine line or press a little harder to get a thicker line.

This eyeliner is £12.00 and I’m sure there’s many dupes of it flying around but i personally love this and it’s replaced my other liquid eyeliner.

What’s your favourite eyeliner?

Lee Stafford – Hair Growth Review

elestafford1

Lee Stafford have a range of hair treatments that are aimed at people who’s hair doesn’t grow past a certain length. I used to have hip length hair then chopped it all off to my shoulders, I regretted this weeks after and my hair now is taking ages to grow. So i’ve decided to try these products out and see if they work.

There’s a lot of products out there that claim to help ‘grow your hair’ but most of these are expensive and don’t work, I’ve tried my fair share of these products and most end up making me feel disappointed.

leestafford

What i love about Lee Stafford products are the smell! They smell so divine and the smell actually stays in your hair throughout the day. My mum years back used one of these products and i always remember sneaking into her room and spraying it in my hair as it smelt so nice, so it kind of brought back memories when i got these the other day.

Lee Stafford – Hair Growth Shampoo

At £7.49 this  is a bit expensive to me for a shampoo that s only 200ml but i decided to bite the bullet and see if it would work for me as the reviews on the Boot’s website were all positive feedback.

I love the smell of this and i love how even a day after using it i could still smell it in my hair. Ive been using it for a few washes now and haven’t noticed a difference but i don’t think i will until I’ve used it for about a month or more. Even if it helps my hair grow a tiny bit i will be happy as my hair seems to be not growing at all.

How it works;

‘A protein based shampoo to fertilise your follicles, creating a healthy environment on the scalp, giving bed body and fullness, whilst strengthening the hair and helping it to reach id maximum potential length.’

So basically this product helps fertilise your hair follicles which help the hair grow, it also strengthens and gives your hair body. All this is great as i have very fine hair and i try to use products that help thicken my hair.

After using this on my hair i then half dry it and leave the rest to air dry, it made my hair feel and look amazing, i sometimes get dry ends and it made my dry ends go and give my hair a nice shine and feel to it. This shampoo has already got my vote as it just makes my hair smell and feel lush. This shampoo does not dry your hair out so thats also a plus.

Lee Stafford – Hair Growth Treatment

How It Works;

“If the earth’s not nourished, you’ll never grow beautiful flowers” is the philosophy behind Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment. Its vital hair and scalp complex helps to reduce hair loss. It improves follicle health which in turn increases the ability of the hair to anchor to the scalp. The soothing formulation reduces irritation and moisturises the scalp. It addresses hair and scalp ageing at a cellular level whilst providing an improvement in tensile strength to give body and texture by penetrating the hair reaching the inner cortex. Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment also improves the volume and feel of the hair.

You use this hair treatment after using the shampoo, you take an egg size portion and massage it into the scalp and then you leave it on your hair 5 minutes. Then you rinse it off and apply the conditioner, you only use this once a week. I found this easy to use, it’s non sticky and was to apply to your hair and roots.

This also smells lush and does not weigh your hair down or leave it feeling too soft. It’s a nice treatment to use on your hair once a week as this also helps strengthen your hair and its kind of a two in one treatment for your hair which is amazing.

I’ve been keeping track of my hair length while using these so another review will be coming up in a couple of weeks/months about this product to see if it does help.

If you have hair that does not seem to be growing and your willing to spend a bit more money for a shampoo and treatment i recommend this brand as i don’t think it will let you down.

What help’s you grow your hair?

No7 Instant Radiance Foundation – Review

no711

I’ve tried many foundations and i could never find one that lasted the whole day, didn’t look greasy or too powdery on my skin and actually matched my skin tone.

I’ve finally found a foundation that tick’s all my boxes when it comes to the right foundation!

no7112

No7 Instant Radiance Foundation

Boot’s website tells you a little about this product

The silky moisturising formula has light reflecting particles that boost your skin’s appearance, making it look luminous and naturally flawless. Energising Ginger helps stimulate tired looking skin whilst our enriching vitamin complex helps boost skins vitality.

Soft violet pearls give dull, stressed out skin a healthy looking glow for perfectly natural finish.

Review

This foundation is a miracle in a bottle! I first came across this when my sister’s friend used it and she said it looked like she was not  wearing any foundation and her skin looked amazing, my sister got matched up to the shade ‘Calico’ and when the women at the counter applied it to her face i couldn’t even tell she had anything on! It blends into the skin perfectly and does not look cakey (nobody want’s their foundation to look cakey.) When i saw it on my sister i knew i had to own this foundation for myself!

The packaging for this product looks amazing and even though it’s simple its eye-catching and does not look cheap. I only need one pump to cover my face and its a medium coverage so you can build it up. I apply this to my skin with the Real Techniques – Stippling Brush and it’s easy to apply and sinks into your face and leaves you with even and nice looking skin. It stays on your skin all day and gives you the right coverage without looking caked in foundation.

What i love about this foundation is it’s a radiance boost for tired or stressed skin, everyone has those days where they look like rubbish and this is the perfect pick me up. It gives you the brightness and even skin tone but without looking like you’ve put a layer of foundation on.

The price is £12.50 but it has a variety of shades and you can go to the No7 counter and they will match up with the little machine they have for free and help you pick out the right shade.

I can’t hype this product up enough as it tick’s all the boxes to the perfect foundation, this will defiantly be my new daily foundation and as you i only need one pump to do my entire face it will last for a while before i need to go repurchase it. If your unsure about this product check it out on the boot’s website as it has everything you need to know on there and also people’s reviews.

What is your favourite daily foundation?

December Favourites

 decemberdf

Hello beauty bloggers & readers, heres my December Favourites picks. I’m sorry it’s a little late but its better late than never right? 🙂

Non Beauty Items:

Vogue
Since being at home my mum has bought me vogue as at uni I’m on a budget, i love this magazine and its great to reading in bed and also get inspiration from.

FANGIRL – Rainbow Rowell
I picked this up from my local asda after christmas for only £3! I thought it would just be a good book to pass the time over this holiday but i was so wrong! I haven’t put this book down! I love the story and the way its written and i don’t want it to end, i love when you get so into a book and the characters and this is one of those books. I’m very happy with this purchase and if you’re looking for a good book to read i highly recommend this!

Beauty Products:

L’oreal Elvive – Hair Mask
I few weeks ago i stripped my hair from black to a medium brown and it wrecked my hair! And this has been my saviour all through December to help my hair get back to its original state. I love the smell of this hair mask and it leaves my hair so shiny and feeling a lot nicer and less damaged, it’s also part of this hair thickening range and as my hair is very fine it helps to make it look and feel fuller!

Tea Tree – Foaming Face Wash
I used to use this every day when washing my face and then i switched to other products to try them out. I came across it again and started using it and i forgot how good it was. You only need one pump and then i rub it onto my face and then wash of with water, it’s help with spots as over christmas I’ve broke out on my forehead and tea tree is really good when it comes with spots and has helped me slowly get my skin back to normal. This is quite cheap in super drug and if you suffer with spots i recommend this.

Big – Sea Salt Shampoo
I absolutely love this stuff! I have been using the Tail ‘N Mane shampoo and have gone back to this because it instantly makes my hair look thicker, feel nicer and smell amazing! It’s a little pricey from lush but if your like me and suffer from having fine limp hair i recommend you to buy this because it doesn’t disappoint.

No7 – High Shine Lip Crayon
I really like these lip crayons and they suit every day where and finish your makeup look off. I’ve been wearing these over christmas and they are also moisturising on your lips.

No7 – Instant Radiance Foundation
This foundation is just amazing! My sister wears this and you can’t even tell she’s got foundation on! It matches the skin perfectly, it’s easy to apply & looks flawless. I will be doing a review soon.

No7 – Gel Look Shine – Neptune
I’ve recently came across these No7 nail varnishes, the first one i got was from my advent calendar and then i got a set of them for christmas. They are very pigmented and look amazing on your nails. The only downside is that they chip easy but if you put a top coat on it makes them last a little longer.

I hope you like my December Favourite picks

Declutter Your Bedroom

decluttering your bedroom

It’s 2015 and it’s time to declutter your bedroom. It’s just been Christmas so that means you have new products to replace the old ones, so out with the old and in with the new. Less is more and a tidy bedroom is nicer then a messy unclean bedroom, it’s time to finally throw those old clothes away and empty that box of nick nacks your holding onto incase you might need them one day.

The first thing you should do is create 3 piles/boxes on the floor. These 3 piles will be BIN/CHARITY/KEEP.
If you haven’t used it for a while and you don’t need it, bin it. If something is still usable like a book and you don’t want to keep it put it in the charity pile. Things you want to keep should be put in the keep pile, you will put all this back later.

Wardrobe

Start with your wardobe and work your way across your room. Grab all your clothes and put them on your bed, go through them and throw out what you haven’t worn in a while. There’s no point keeping that skirt for the ‘right moment’ because that time isn’t going to come and that skirt you’ve been holding onto is just collecting dust. It’s time to give it away to a friend or to charity because someone else is going to wear it more then you.

After you’ve sorted what you want to keep and what you want to give away, start putting all your clothes back into your wardrobe – I organise them from coats to dresses.

Beauty Items

I have a bad habit of keeping a number of beauty items like hair spray (which are half used) in a draw thinking I will get round to using them soon and I never will. It’s time to throw those beauty products away with one pump left that you are never going to use. These just waste space in your draws.

Nail polishes can go a bit yucky after a while and if you can’t restore them back with nail varnish remover ( You add a couple drops of nail varnish remover to the nail varnish and shake it this should help the nail varnish become less clumpy back to it’s original self) then it’s time to throw them out and make way for new ones.

Under The Bed

Under my bed I have boxes of crap, like I hold onto things I think I’m going to need and I don’t. So if I haven’t used something in the past 4 months throw it away or give it away. Then neatly put the things your keeping in storage boxes and put them under the bed.

Draws

In my underwear draw I have so many odd socks I hold onto thinking I will find the other pair soon when that sock is long gone! It’s time to throw those odd socks out and buy some new ones. It’s the same with pjs and lounge wear, throw your tatty old pjs away and make space for new ones.

Books

Books that you’ve bought and you won’t read again or didn’t live up to your expectations it’s time to give to charity, someone else is going to enjoy it more than you. I love nothing more than going to a charity shop and a stack of books and reading them and then after I’ve read them taking them back to the charity shop so someone else can enjoy them. I like to store the books i love most on my bed side table and the rest in a box on my wardobe.

Storage Boxes

One way of keeping things you want without leaving them out in your room is storage boxes, you can find nice storage boxes for cheap in most shops i get most of mine from Matalan & Homesense. I have a set of three on my wardrobe that I keep DVD’s and books in and they hide them away while looking nice and tidy.

Selling items or giving them away

You can also sell your unused or unwanted items online to get some money for things your actually going to use. You can also give your old things to charity or take them to your local hospital or doctors to be used in the waiting rooms or if you have any old toys you can give these to them as well as children can play with them while at the hospital.

These are just a few ways you can declutter your bedroom and make space for the things you want. Remember less is more and a clean tidy room helps declutter your mind.

Leave your own decluttering tips below.
