Evening Skincare Routine | June 2015

IMG_2125

When it comes to your evening skin care routine it can be a bit of a chore. Sometimes when you come home after a long day of work or university you just want to climb into bed and relax. I like to make sure I cleanse my face and apply a moisturiser before going to bed, sometimes I do more of a deep cleanse on my face. I don’t use all these products I’m going to talk about in one night, I like to alternate between products.

Cleansers, Toners & Eye Lotion

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish

‘Rich and creamy, this hot cloth cleanser quickly removes daily grime and make up (even stubborn mascara) leaving all skin types clean, soft and radiant. With purifying eucalyptus essential oil, toning rosemary plus soothing chamomile and cocoa butter.’

I love using Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish in the evening as well as in the morning. I feel like it gives my skin a good deep cleanse. I prefer using this in the evening as I feel  like it gets all my makeup off as well as daily grime that clings to my skin throughout the day. This product is not heavy on the skin and does not leave your skin feeling greasy either, after using this I will just use a moisturiser and then leave my skin for the night.

Liz Earle Soothing Eye Lotion

‘Infused with a skin-calming blend of aloe vera, eyebright and witch hazel, this gentle herbal lotion cools, revitalises and brightens and can also be used to remove light eye make up. Suitable for contact lens wearers.’

I use the Liz Earle Soothing Eye Lotion after the Cleanse & Polish. This helps soothes the skin around my eye as well as removing the last traces of mascara and eyeshadow. Its lightweight and leaves your skin feeling hydrated.

Maybelline Matte Maker Powder & Real Techniques Expert Face Brush |Review

review3

Hello Beauty Bloggers & readers,
The UK has been having such lovely weather and I have been making the most of it sat outside enjoying the sun and reading!

I went to Superdrug with my two friends to pass the time and to browse at the make up. I wanted to find a  face powder that helped even out my skin tone a little and that I could wear on days where I did not want to put foundation on my skin. My friend recommended me this Maybelline powder.

Maybelline – Matte Maker Mattifying Powder

‘Matte Maker all-day powder, Maybelline’s face powder with millions of powerful mattifying particles! Instantly absorbs oil and blends seamlessly with your skins tone and texture, for a perfectly flawless matte finish.’

This powder is light/medium coverage, I think it’s best over a foundation to help look more matte then dewy. But you can still put this powder on your face without foundation for a little bit more cover on your skin. This powder helps reduce the look of my under eye bags and also helps even out my skin tone just a little. It feels nice and smooth on the skin and applies well, The colour I picked up matches to my skin perfectly and you can’t really tell you have powder on as it does not leave you skin looking caked. The more I use this powder the more it grows on me.
