Life With A Sprinkle Of Glitter | Mini Book Review

I love nothing more then curling up in bed with a good book, so when I found out that Louise Pentland (SprinkleofGlitter) was bringing a book I knew I had to have her book as I love her Youtube channels!

I was given Tanya Burr’s book for my birthday (another Youtuber) and I found her book enjoyable because I enjoy reading her blog. When I found out she was bringing out a book filled with different sections from Beauty to Cooking I knew I would enjoy reading it. Same with Louise, I love watching her videos and reading her blog and I knew I’d like her book because it would be like reading mini blog posts of hers.

Right enough of me babbling lets get on with this review.

I picked her book up from Waterstones and was very excited when i saw it was signed!

The book cover is gorgeous and stands out amongst other books beautifully, the book itself is quite small but I have recently been getting the bus every day so I have found it to be useful to slip into my small bag so I can read it on the bus. So the book being small is actually quite useful if you are on public transport and want something to read.

This book also has a bookmark so you will never loose your place or have to find whatever you can to place in the book so you don’t loose your page (we’ve all used tissue paper once as a book mark, but with this you don’t have to!)

The book itself is divided into four sections – Giltz, Create, Need To Knows and All about Love. These chapters are then filled with smaller chapters from beauty to confidence and much more. I find having these small chapters as it makes the book more fun and easier to read as they do not drag on and you don’t loose interest while reading each chapter. The chapters are beautiful written, engaging and the illustrations stand out and make the pages more fun to look at.

What I also like about this book is that you can just flick to any page and read from there as each page is a different topic. Which helps if you want something quick to read.

Overall I find the book enjoyable to read and if you are into reading Louise’s blog posts or watching her videos you will enjoy reading her book.

Have you read her book?

Thank you for reading,

Katie x

Sally Hansen – French Manicure Kit Opal | Review

Sally Hansen – French Manicure Kip Opal | Review

After having acrylic nails for a few weeks I loved my nails with the french manicured look. After I took my acrylics off I wanted a nice french nail kit so that I could do it myself at home for a lot cheaper. After looking at different kits i decided to try out this one.

I picked up Sally Hansen’s french manicure kit as it’s quite high-end and good quality. I had a lot of high exceptions for this kit but I must say I’m a little disappointed with it. I also realised they were two colour kits when I got home and I had picked the one that looks less natural. I wanted to give my honest opinion while reviewing this product as I wasn’t 100% happy with it, so here’s my good and bad points about this product and my little review!

‘Sally Hansen French Manicure is a classic, versatile, elegant look that’s always right for both day and night!
Contains everything you need for a professional quality French manicure and pedicure at home, including self-adhesive manicure and pedicure guides, nail colours in irresdescent ‘Sheerly Opal’ and easy-to-follow instructions.’

This at home manicure kit comes with two nail varnish colours. The French White Nail Tip colour and a Sheerly Opal colour. It’s quick and easy to apply and you only have two steps to do to create your own at home manicure. The nail varnish dries quick and leaves no streaks or patchy nail polish.

Revolution Eyeshadow Palette & EcoTools Eyeshadow Brushes

While out shopping for Fathers Day I found myself in Superdrug looking at the makeup (who can resist). I wanted a nice neutral eye shadow palette and some brushes as mine were looking a bit old and needed replacing fast. I came across the Makeup Revolution stand and was so surprised when I saw a number of eyeshadow palette which were only £4! Then I came across these EcoTools which were on offer for only £5 for 4 different brushes in a handy case which keeps them dirt free when in your makeup bag. I couldn’t resist buying these bargains and I have been using these for around 2/3 weeks now and these products haven’t failed me!
