The other day I was in super drug looking for a lipstick as I wanted a nude lip colour or one closer to my lip colour. I came across the Bourjois Rouge Editon Velvet lipstick collection and the shade 07 Nude-ist instantly caught my eye. As there was a 3 for 2 offer on I decided to pick up the lipstick and two other products.
Bourjois | Rouge Edition Velvet 07 Nude-ist
This lipstick colour caught my eye and I fell in love with the shade. I found myself in the super drug store 3 days in a row just swatching this colour on my hand before I gave in and bought it. I must of got on my sisters nerves dragging her in everyday but she eventually convinced me to buy it as it is such a gorgeous shade!
I found this colour to be a ‘your lips but better’ shade, it makes my lips look natural while making them stand out. When applying this to yours lips, it applies nicely and feels smooth. It isn’t cakey looking or drying on the lips which is a bonus.
The brush is a good shape and size and helps to apply the product nicely to your lips as it is not too big or too small.
Overall I am impressed with this lipstick and the shade is such a gorgeous everyday colour.
This lipstick is £8.99 and you can find it here.
Bourjois | 123 Perfect Foundation No51
I chose this foundation over the healthy mix foundation because of the 3 correcting pigments it claims to do.
Yellow pigments for anti-dark circles
Mauve pigments for anti-dull complexion
Green pigments for anti-redness
When I got home, I applied it to my face with my Real Techniques Stippling brush and found it blended quick and easy.
It helped to reduce the redness on my cheeks and also reduce my under eye bags.
The colour I picked for my skin tone was N051 Light Vanilla and it matched my skin perfectly. You couldn’t tell I had foundation on. I then used powder to help set it into place.
It was a hot day when I tried this out and I applied it around 3 in the afternoon and didn’t take it off until around 9 and it lasted until I took it off and it did not smudge or run. I was surprised with this and knew I could wear it in the hot weather and not have it slowly move down my face throughout the day.
The coverage of this foundation is light to medium and you can build it up or leave it light if you don’t like to layer it on and prefer a more natural look.
Overall I am pleased with this foundation as it ticks all the right boxes.
This foundation is £10.99 and you can find it here.
Bourjois | Mega Liner Ultra Black
This product I picked up because I needed a new eyeliner and because there was an offer on this product would be free. I decided to pick this one up as the tip was angled and I thought it would be good for winged liner because thats how I wear my eyeliner.
When using this I actually found out it is good if you just want to line your eyes. The angled tip on the other hand made the eyeliner come out a bit thicker then it would with a tipped end. I also found it harder to create the winged end as the angled tip made it a little more difficult to fill it in.
This is a good eyeliner to just line your eyes with but not if you want to create the winged eyeliner look as the eyeliner tip is just a bit too big. I also think it is the way you apply the eyeliner and how hard you press down.
This eyeliner is £7.49 and you can find it here.
