NSPA – Deep Cleansing Mud Mask

A Dead-sea mineral mud mask to treat and refresh the skin for a beautiful complexion.

With Dead-Sea minerals, natural Beeswax and Seaweed extracts to deeply cleanse the pores and replenish tire skin.

How To Use

Apply to clean, damp skin with your fingertips, avoiding the immediate eye area. Relax and enjoy for up to 15 minutes, then rinse with warm water and gently pat dry.

Most Sunday evenings I like to have a pamper day….who doesn’t?
I love to have a hot bubble bath, put a good film on my TV, apply a hair mask to my hair and put a face mask on.

I have ran out of my Lush face masks and do not have any others so I went to ASDA (my local supermarket)  in search of a face mask because you can’t have a pamper day without a good face mask! I found this NSPA mask in the beauty isle and I have never heard of this brand before.

I picked it up because I wanted to try it out and as it comes in a small packet I knew if i did not like it I would not have wasted money or product.

Review

My first impression of this face mask was that even though it is a little packet, you do get a lot of product in it. You can get around 3-4 face masks out of this if you use it evenly, which I found great. Because you can get more then one use out of this packet and it is obliviously not reseable. I suggest folding the top over and holding it with a clip or putting it into an empty container to stop it from drying out.

The product is not messy,  as it is a clay mask it is a thick consitensy which is easily spreadable on the skin. It dries quite fast and it goes lighter when it is fully dry so you know when to wash it off. When on the skin it is not harsh and when drying it can itch a little but that is all.

Once dried I took a face cloth, soaked it in water and wiped the mask off my skin. It was easy to remove which I like as nobody likes a face mask that is hard to remove and messy.

IMG_3383.JPG

Overall

My skin felt really nice and smooth after using this, I thought my skin also looked nicer. My skin did not feel irritable after using this face mask and I just put my favourite moisturiser on after taking the mask off.

I would recommend buying if you are looking for a new face mask to try as you can buy the small packet to try it out and then if you like it you can buy the bigger tub.

This product is £1.59 in ASDA and you can find the full products on the NSPA website here.

Have you tried out any of NSPA products?
What is your favourite face mask?

Mitchum Deodorant | Review

Mitchum Deodorant | Review

For a while I have been using the Sure Women Maximum Protection Deodorant, I was a huge fan of this deodorant but then I started to dislike this product for some reason and wanted to try out a different brand of deodorant. Here in the UK we have had really warm weather, so a good deodorant is a must!

IMG_3327

While doing my weekly shop I came across Mitchum, I have never heard or seen this brand before and because it was on offer I decided to give it a go. I have been using it for around 3 months now and it has replaced my Sure deodorant and has become my new favourite.

First I picked up the spray deodorant and then a week after I picked up the roll on and love both of these products.

PicMonkey Collage

Mitchum Advanced Women – 48hr Protection Shower Fresh Anti-Perspirant Spray.

Mitchum Advanced Women 48hr Protection Shower Fresh Anti-Perspirant & Deodorant, our most advanced formula ever.

Ultra powerful sweat + odour control

Maximum wetness protection with the highest level of active ingredient, keeps you feeling dry and comfortable for 48 hours.

Minimises white marks.

This spray on deodorant does the job and ticks off all the boxes in what is aims to do.
It also contains aloe and vitamin E to help soothe and condition the skin which is amazing as sometimes deodorants can do the opposite and actually irate your skin.

This spray deodorant has a nice scent to it that is not over powering and throughout the day the smell stays which is nice.

I would not say at lasts for 48 hours as I like to re apply deodorants twice a day any way to make sure it keeps doing the job. It also does not leave white marks on your clothing as many deodorants I have bought tend to leave white marks on clothing and it is a pain.

This product is £2.99 but it is currently on sale in Boots for £2.00

Mitchum have a range of different scents for this spray on deodorant.

You can find this product in most shops or you can find it online here.

Mitchum Advanced Women – 48HR Protection Pure Fresh Anti-Perspirant Roll on.

Mitchum Advanced Women 48HR Protection Pure Fresh Anti-Perspirant & Deodorant with new oxygen odour control technology.

Maximum wetness protection with the highest level of active ingredient, keeping you feeling dry and comfortable for 48 hours.

It Contains Aloe Vera and Vitamin E to soothe and condition skin, whilst its long lasting fragrance keeps you feeling shower fresh.

Alcohol free and Dermatologist tested.

Goes on clear.

What I like about this deodorant compared to the Sure roll on is that it does not have a strong scent to it. Throughout the day it smells fresh but is not overwhelming. The sure one has an overwhelming scent which after a while I did not like and slowly began to dislike it.

It does not leave white marks on your clothing but can on dark clothing but it does not claim to be invisible, but having white marks on clothing 9/10 is not bad considering some deodorants can leave white marks on most clothing. The product does not go flaky. It helps you stay fresh throughout the day.

I do not feel like I need to reapply throughout the day with this deodorant, I feel like roll on deodorants last longer then the sprays.

This product is £3.2o but is on offer in Boots for £2.00.

Mitchum also have a range of different roll on deodorants.

You can find this product in most shops or you can find it online here.

What is your favourite deodorant to use?

Clinique Superbalanced Foundation | Review

IMG_6444.jpegClinique Superbalanced Foundation

‘Provides comfortable moderate coverage, imparting a natural finish. Absorbs oil where needed. Minimises the appearance of fine lines. Stays true to colour.Contains anti-oxidants and anti-irritants. Streak proof, perspiration proof. Non-acnegenic, oil free and Ophthalmologist tested.’

I have been after a new foundation for a while and I decided to try out some from Clinique. I always go into the Boots in manchester when buying from Clinique, I love the sales assistants who work there as they are always so helpful and kind.

IMG_8150

I told one of the ladies I was after a new foundation and I wanted a dewy finish that was a light coverage which is build buildable. She recommended me the Superbalenced foundation and found my colour match and applied it to my face so I could see whether or not I liked it. I wore it for the rest of the day while shopping and I liked how subtle it was on my skin and how fresh and even it made my skin look. It did not go cakey which sold it to me as I hate when foundation looks cakey on the skin.

IMG_0038.jpeg

With this foundation, a little goes a long way. I apply dots of it onto my face then I take my Real Techniques Stippling brush and work it into my skin until it is blended. Then I apply concealer if needed and then set it all with some powder. It stays on my face throughout the day without needed any touch ups.

IMG_4102

I have been using this foundation for around 4 months now and it has not broke out my skin or dried it up. If I am wearing foundation I like to use a heavy moisturiser so this foundation sits on the skin without drying it.

PicMonkey Collage

As you can see the foundation blends into my skin without it being noticeable. The colour match is the perfect match for me and if you are interested it trying this foundation out you can always go to your nearest Clinique store and ask if you can try it on throughout the day to see if you like it.

IMG_6825

This foundation is perfect for anyone who likes minimal looking makeup and does not wear foundation a lot. It blends nicely into your skin and looks natural. I love using this foundation on days where I want a bit more coverage and want my skin looking more even.

This foundation is on the more high end price at £22.50 but I think it is worth the price. You can find it at Clinique online or in store and also in Boots.

Little Letters by El – Review

Little Letters by El

My friend has her own small business, she makes personalised letters that can be bought as either gifts or for yourself.
Since she started making them, I have had my eye on them as they always look so nice and perfect for either a gift for someones birthday or for yourself as decoration in your bedroom. When I turned 21 she made me a floral print K and I was so happy with my hand made gift.

I think Little Letters by El is such a unique gift idea and she also makes them in different fabric prints and they are also affordable.

Even the bag it comes packaged in is adorable!

Little Letters by El.jpg

Ellie even adds a personalised tag which I think is a nice touch to the gift.

Little Letters by El 2

The personalised letter adds a nice touch to you bedroom. They are also so detailed and well made, I also love the little flower that she has made and added to the K as she knows I love flowers so it is a nice touch to my personalised letter.

These letters can be personalised how ever you want and they are only £8 each, If you are interested in buying one email Ellie at little.letters.by.el@gmail.com. In the email make sure you tell her which letter you want, what print and the colour.

I’m Back!

katekiwii1

Hello fellow beauty bloggers and readers,
For the past few months there has been a few tumble weeds on my blog from the lack of blog posts and activity!
But, I am finally back! I have been absent since February, This is because I’ve had a lot of university work to do as I am in my final year! But on May the 4th I finally completed and handed my dissertation in so I am now free from university work and university till I graduate!
This means so much free time to get myself back into blogging which is the thing that I love. I can’t wait to post a blogpost every week and start reviewing and making videos for the people who read my blog. I already have a lot of blog pictures on my SD card waiting to be used in blog posts and I have been itching to get back on my blog but been so busy with university work and also very stressed so I didn’t want it showing in my posts and posting little reviews when I could as I like to put all my effort and time into my blog posts.

Thank you to everyone who’s stayed following me during my absence sorry for the long wait but I am now finally back and ready to get back into my little hobby.

Thank you!
Katie x

Life With MCM | Blog

Megan McCoig’s blog is a Beauty/Lifestyle blog. Her blog is full of helpful, detailed blog posts of reviews on high end but also drug store beauty products. The layout of her blog is so simple and easy to read. I am a recent follower of her blog and now it is one of my favourites to read. When you read her blog posts, you can see how much effort goes into them. Her pictures always give me photo envy as they look so professional! She also does blog posts on Travel and Inspiration.

I’m Megan McCoig a 20 year old student studying Media and Cultural Studies at the University of the Arts London. My blog is here to share my lifestyle interests, such as travel, beauty, inspiration and personal thoughts.

From reading blogs across many categories I was recently inspired to start writing about my passions and what I enjoy in life.

Here’s a brief insight into what you’ll see across each category:
Beauty – I thoroughlyenjoy trying and sharing products from both high end and high street brands. I will be sharing reviews, tips and tutorials to share which beauty products I use and how I use them.
Travel – One of my desires is to travel, and being a student it can be hard to do so. So, when I do get the time and money this is what I do. When I travel I love to document with photos and videos, which I will be sharing along with what I did and enjoyed.
Inspiration – These photos will focus on my personal thoughts and views on many different topics. I will post inspiration that I have written or documented myself, or some stuff that inspires me. This could be anything from a feature I have written to things (objects, people, spaces etc.) that have inspired me to write about and share.

I hope you enjoy what I share with you – feel free to comment and share

Makeup Haul

Before Christmas, I entered Megan McCoig giveaway. I woke up to a message on twitter that I had won it and I was over the moon!. I was a recent reader of her blog and her giveaway contained make up I wanted to try and an eye shadow palette I wanted to buy but was never in the shop when I went to get it.

So when I found out I had won it, I was so happy and excited. I thought I would do a post on what I got with a little review of each product. A few days later I received it and I was excited to try out the makeup products.

Revolution | Flawless Matte
I have had my eye on this palette for a while now and it was always out of stock when I went to buy it. It is full of every day eyeshadows. They are so pigmented and easily bendable.

PicMonkey Collage7.jpg

Elf | Blush Peach Keen
I have never owned or used any Elf products, so I was excited to try them out as I have heard a lot about them. This blush is a gorgeous colour.

PicMonkey Collage6.jpg

Rimmel | Glam Eyes Black Eyeliner
If you read me my blog, you know I am a huge lover of eyeliners that are thin at the end. They are so much easy to do winged liner and you always get a nice thin line.

PicMonkey Collage5.jpg

Eyeko -Black Magic Mascara
Again with Eyeko, I love their eyeliner so I was excited to try out their mascara. This has now made it into my every day make up bag! It lengths, curls and thickens the look of my lashes. I also love the packaging.

PicMonkey Collage3.jpg

Two Faced | Nude Melted Liquified Lipstick
Two faced is another product I have heard about but never used or owned. I love the packaging of this product also, the colour is lovely nude shade and looks lovely on!

IMG_30671PicMonkey Collage

Rimmel | Kate Lipstick
I love this shade of red! It is perfect for when you are wearing minimal makeup. This lipstick is also so moisturising and I am happy Megan put this in as a surprise as its a lovely lipstick.

Lee Stafford – My Big Fat Healthy Hair Shampoo | Review

IMG_3227.JPG

Lee Stafford – My Big Fat Healthy Hair

So this is another Lee Stafford review as lately I am loving his Hair Growth product range and decided to try some of his other hair products out. I have tried his Hair Growth range and you can see the review on the Hair Growth: Shampoo and Hair Mask here or the Hair Growth: Leave In Treatment here.

IMG_3228.JPG

Review

‘With PRO-VOLUME™ Complex for bigger, fuller fatter hair. Lee Stafford My Big Fat Healthy Hair shampoo boosts hair’s body and texture, enhances gloss and shine, and banishes dulling deposits that make hair go lank and limp. The PRO-VOLUME™ Complex is a combination of hair conditioning agents to add volume.’

You use this like normal shampoo, you massage it into your hair from roots to tip. Then rinse, repeat and use your conditioner.

I love this smell of this product and it does linger on the hair but not for a long time.
The one thing I do not like about this product is that it lathers a little too much, so you do not need much of the product. This may not sound like a bad thing for a shampoo, but it lathers that much I spend more time rinsing it out to make sure it all out of my hair.

IMG_3231

The thing that drew me into buying this shampoo was the ‘Pro Volume for Fatter Hair’.
My hair is quite thin and can sometimes look very limp and I like to use products that add that bit of volume without weighing my hair down. So when I saw that it helps to keep hair looking thicker and fuller I had to pick it up and try it out.

It does not give my hair loads of volume but I can tell it looks less thin and limp. It does not dry my hair out or weigh it down which is a great as you don’t want your shampoo doing that. It makes my hair look and feel so much nicer and also helps it feel thicker.

It has not done wonders to my hair but overall it is a good shampoo but if your looking for a shampoo to make your hair appear thicker and fuller this might not do that.

Another point for people who dye their hair, It does not strip any colour out of your hair so do not worry about it stripping the colour out.

This shampoo is £5.99 and you can find it here.

Have you tried this product out or any of the Lee Stafford Products?
