Nip & Fab – Glycolic Fix Radiance Shot

A couple of months ago I came across this Nip+Fab product, I have heard so much about this brand and a lot of good reviews so I decided to buy it and give it ago. I have never used any product like this before so I was excited to try it out.

Recently I have had very dry and dull looking skin, I think this is mainly due to the weather we have been having here in England. It has been so cold and my skin has just been suffering, no matter how much moisturiser I apply to my skin nothing seems to work.

So when I came across this and it said it helps makes you seen smoother, more radiant and reduces the appearance of pigmentation I thought it would try it as my skin needed some tlc.

Review

I use this product everyday as I feel like my skin needs to look a bit more brighter and to help with the redness. I use this with my favourite moisturiser, I mix a two drops of the product to the moisturiser and apply it to my skin and then do my makeup routine as normal.

For the days I feel like my skin needs a bit more tlc or I’m having a pamper day I will just apply it straight to my skin as I think it helps more to be applied alone and directly to my skin.

It instantly gives my skin a lovely radiant glow and helps with the redness. The product also smells amazing! It does not leave the skin feeling tacky or greasy and it sinks into your skin instantly!

I am really happy with the product as it does what it says.

I found this Nip+Fab product in my local Home Sense store but I noticed Boots sell a lot of their products so you can find it in stores on online here.

Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Radiance Shot is £19.95

I am going to try out more of their products as I find the brand good value for money and products that do what they say.

Have you tried any of the Nip+Fab products? What are your thoughts on them?

Fleur De Force – Eyelure Lashes| Review

Fleur De Force – Eyelure Lashes | Review

False lashes have become a popular thing, they make your eyelashes look longer and thicker. Like many other people, I avoided lashes. The thought of applying them was stressful and I always thought when removing them it would take my own lashes with them! I finally picked up some a few months ago, I chose the Fleur De Force – Fleur loves ones as they are longer at the ends like my own lashes so I thought they would look natural.

I must admit trying to apply these for the first time was a little stressful but I found using tweezers to place them and push them into place helped a lot! (so did the many youtube videos on how to apply false lashes helped!) After practising a few times I felt like a pro! I instantly fell in love with how the lashes looked and finished my makeup look off perfectly.

Fleur Loves

Fleur loves’ is a cute and cool ¾ Lash. Designed to add fullness to the outer edge, the lash has a twisty, messed up look and is finished with stone-ground tapering on the lash tips. With gorgeous, soft-toned packaging designed to reflect an artistic watercolour brush; ‘Fleur Loves’ is the perfect reflection of Fleur’s Style and artistry.

These lashes are £5.45
You can find them online here or in boots stores.

Fleur and Fabulous

‘Fleur & fabulous’ is a seriously gorgeous criss-cross style lash with softly-tapered ends, perfect for any night out. With gorgeous, soft-toned packaging designed to reflect an artistic watercolour brush; ‘Fleur & Fabulous’ is the perfect reflection of Fleur’s Style and artistry

These lashes are £5.95
You can find them online here or in boots stores.

Fully Fleur

Fully Fleur’ is a full & fluttery lash with a kick-out corner and naturally-tapered ends, perfect from desk to dancefloor.
With gorgeous, soft-toned packaging designed to reflect an artistic watercolour brush; ‘Fleur & Fabulous’ is the perfect reflection of Fleur’s Style and artistry.

These lashes are £5.95
You can find them online here or in boots stores.

Petit Fleur

Petit Fleur’ is a sweet & subtle textured ¾ length lash with a light kick at the corner. The lash is designed to add a secret lift to your lashes and features softly-tapered tips. With gorgeous, soft-toned packaging designed to reflect an artistic watercolour brush; ‘Petit Fleur’ is the perfect reflection of Fleur’s Style and artistry.

These lashes are £5.45
You can find them here or in boots stores.

IMG_4010

These are the Fleur Loves lashes without any eyeliner, they make your lashes look so much longer and thicker. These are my favourite out of Fleurs collection.

Overall

Overall I find these lashes such good value for money, they are long-lasting and very durable.
I recently wore some for my works Christmas party and they lasted the whole night! this was without me having to reapply them throughout the night as some lashes start to lift at the ends and thank god I did not have to re apply them!

These lashes, and I have applied them all, are so easy to apply and are not stressful either. All lashes come with glue and instructions which are easy to follow and the glue is great and lasts a lot of applications.

I find the quality of all these lashes amazing as they do not have that cheap look to them and they blend in so well with your natural lashes that they look real and amazing!
My favouite is Fleur Loves as they are so natural and blend in with my natural lashes!

Finally, these lashes are amazing value for money, for the quality you get and the durability from these amazing lashes for under £6 and because boots normally have deals on you can get two for the price of one or buy one get one half price.

Fleur has many more in her collection which I am eager to try.

Have you tried any of these lashes?
What are your opinions on them?

Clinique – Pep-Start | Review

Clinique – Pep-Start | Review

I have had my eye on the new Clinique Pep-Start collection since it has come out. I wanted to try the Pep-Start Eye Cream, Peep-Start HydroBlur Moisturiser and the Pep-Start Cleansing Swipes. I always go to Boots when I buy my Clinique products as I always find the ladies on Clinique so helpful and I also get Boots points.I went into Boots to pick up the Clinique Airbrush Concealer as I had run out that morning and I told the lady serving me about how I’d had my eye on the Pep-Start and she showed me this little Pep-Start mini kit. I decided to buy it as for £20 and 4 Clinique products you can’t really go wrong.

This little kit from Clinique consists of;

Pep-Start 2 in 1 Exfoliating Cleanser

Pep-Start Eye Cream

Peep-Start HydroBlur Moisturiser

High Impact Mascara

Review

IMG_3508.JPG

Pep-Start 2 in 1 Exfoliating Cleanser

By combining gentle cleansing with exfoliating power, this 2-in-1 formula takes away dirt, dulling dead skin cells, excess oil and impurities to give skin a smooth finish and a radiant glow. Preps skin for makeup. It is gentle enough to use twice a day.

How To Use

Wet face and hands.
Work a dime-sized amount into hands, lather and massage over skin.
Rinse well, avoiding eye area.
Follow with moisturizer.

This is very gentle on the skin and can be used as an every day cleanser. Most exfoliation washes are quite harsh on my skin and I need to use a heavy moisturiser after as my skin feels irritated but with this I do not have to use moisturiser.

It gets rid of all the grime from the day so you are left with a clean canvas to re apply your makeup or even just to take it all off.

IMG_3519.JPG

Pep-Start Eye Cream

Hydrates, brightens, perks you up. It’s cool touch and de-puffing tip help keep eyes looking fresh. Smooths the way for makeup, too. Have it on hand.
Ophthalmologist Tested.

How To Use

Use twice a day, morning and night.
Gently squeeze a small amount of product onto applicator tip.
Swipe in circular motion around eye area, including lids.
Use finger to smooth in any excess until absorbed.
Reapply as needed throughout the day.

I really like this product as it is light on the eye area, hyrdates my skin and makes my under eyes look less dull and dark. It is good to use everyday and a little bit goes a long way so you do not have to use a lot of the product.

It is also perfect for prepping the eye area before applying concealer as it hydrates and I find my concealer does not go cakey after a while when using this eye cream.

IMG_3509.JPG

Peep-Start HydroBlur Moistuiser

This lightweight, 24/7 hydrator provides matte moisturization, instantly blurs imperfections and preps for makeup.

How To Use

This multitasking moisturizer can be used 3 ways:

On clean skin for an instant filter and all day hydration.
As a perfect primer for foundation, tinted moisturizers or powder.
Throughout the day—over makeup—as needed
Avoid eye area.

This mosituriser is very light weight and sinks into the skin almost straight away so you are not waiting for it to dry. You do not need to use a lot of this product and it is not harsh on the skin. It does not have a perfumed smell and it also creates a smooth canvas for your makeup.

I also like the packaging of this moisturiser as it is cute and practical as you do not have to squeeze a tube or pump the moisturiser out.

IMG_3513.JPG

High Impact Mascara

The Clinique mascara favourite in a waterproof version so you’re ready for anything. Instant volume and length that resists flaking, clumping and smudging.

I use this mascara for day wear as it gives the right amount of volume and length on your lashes without them going clumpy or applying to much product.

img_3596

Overall

I like these Clinique Mini’s as you can try out some of the Pep-Start products without committing to the actual size products.

My favourites of these products are the Pep-Start Eye Cream and the Peep-Start HydroBlur Moisturiser. I am not a big fan of the Pep-Start 2 in 1 Exfoliating Cleanser but I still use it.

I do not like the added mascara they put in as it is always a little free gift with Clinique and even though it’s a good mascara and a use it for the day I have lots of them so would prefer to have something you do not usually get as a free gift.

I also LOVE the packaging of this range as it just pops and stands out and looks nice and bright on your dressing table.

The prices of the full products are;

Pep-Start 2 in 1 Exfoliating Cleanser – £16.50

Pep-Start Eye Cream -£22.00

Peep-Start HydroBlur Moistuiser  – £24.50

High Impact Mascara  – £17.50

You can find these online at Boots or Clinique.com or in store.

Garnier SkinActive – Moisture Bomb | Daily Moisturiser & Tissue Mask Review

img_3331

Garnier SkinActive – Moisture Bomb | Daily Moisturiser & Tissue Mask Review

Now it is getting a lot colder in the UK, my skin is in more need of moisturiser as the cold makes my skin so dry. I have been looking for a good moisturiser that lasts throughout the day and makes my skin feel hydrated.

I came across the Garnier Skin Active Tissue mask in Boots and after seeing a lot of bloggers talking about it and because I am a huge fan of face masks I decided to give it a go.
Because I found the Tissue Mask such a good moisture mask that made my skin feel so hydrated, I decided to see what their day moisturiser was like.

This blog post will be quite a long one as I will be talking about both the Tissue Mask and Daily Moisturiser.

img_3333

Garnier SkinActive – Moisture Bomb |  Tissue Mask

Super-hydrating revitalising mask for dehydrated skin. Intensely rehydrates skin, reduces the look of fine lines, and revives radiance. Enriched with pomegranate extract, hyaluronic acid, and plant serum.

Is Garnier Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask right for me?

Yes, if your skin is dehydrated, shows the effects of time and your lifestyle (dullness, irregularities, fine lines…), and if you are looking for an effective solution to rehydrate and revitalise the radiance of your skin.

How is it different?

This super hydrating tissue mask, inspired by Asia, diffuses the equivalent level of hydrating serum as per 1 week’s use of day care.* Truly innovative, its ultra-thin tissue is infused with a super-hydrating serum. Unmask smoother, bouncier, healthier looking skin in just 15 minutes. Applied to the face, it acts like a hydration wrap that continuously diffuses all the effectiveness of the serum intensely hydrating your skin. Its amazing freshness quenches and comforts skin instantly, for a pure moment of absolute pampering. The mask is easy to apply and remove. Suitable for all skin types, even sensitive.

*Equivalent to the concentration of hydrating glycerin in Moisture Bomb Day Cream used daily for 1 week.

Proven effectiveness:

In 15 minutes: Skin is intensely rehydrated, Skin looks smoother, Complexion is radiant. Fine lines appear reduced, Skin looks plumper, Skin radiance is revitalised.

Review

The Tissue Mask comes in a foil packet and contains one mask.
On the back of the packet it has instructions on how to use the tissue mask and how long to apply it for.

How To Use

1. Unfold the mask. Carefully apply the white tissue to thoroughly cleansed skin. Make sure the blue protective film is facing outwards. Smooth the mask gently to ensure contact with the skin.

2. Remove the protective film.

3. Adjust the mask contours on the face. Leave for 15 minutes.

4. To remove the mask, peel off slowly from the edges. Gently massage in any excess serum, or use a cotton pad to remove.

I found the actual mask a bit messy at first, I did not think it would be filled of product. It is also very cold on the skin but after a while it becomes quite soothing. It can also be a bit fiddly trying to get the protective film off.

I like to use this tissue mask twice a week as I can get quite dry skin, especially wearing makeup for work for long hours. I normally apply the mask after washing my hair and when I have a good film on so I can relax more.

When removing the mask I like to take the mask and rub the remaining product into my skin and then letting the product dry.

The holes in the mask are big enough to go around your eyes, nose and mouth. It is not greasy either so leaves your skin feeling very moisturised.

After the first use I felt my skin was so much more hydrated and looked more brighter and  the finish dewy looking. It is such a great mask to put on for 15 minutes as it is not drying like most face masks and not as half as messy!

I highly recommend this tissue mask if you have very dry skin or would just like to hydrate your skin a little. I keep recommending this mask to my friends and family as it has become my new favourite.

It is also £0.99 in Boots so I have been stocking up on them while they are currently on offer.

It is great value for money and does the job perfectly.

This product is originally £1.49 and you can find it in most stores or online at Boots here.

– A high concentration of Plant Serum.

Its fresh texture melts immediately on contact with the skin and hydrates it perfectly all day long. No greasy or sticky effect.

Proven Effectiveness*

– Instantly: 24 hour continuous hydration

-The skin feels smoother (89% of women agree)

– Wrinkles appear reduced, the skin is radiant and looks healthier (93% of women agree)

*Self-evaluation: 57 women

Is Moisture Bomb 3-in-1 Moisturiser right for me?

Yes, if your skin is dehydrated, shows the effects of time and your lifestyle (dullness, irregularities, fine lines…) and you seek a care that efficiently hydrates and leaves it feeling protected.

2

 Review

This moisturiser comes in a round, small bottle. You do not need a lot of product as a little goes a long way, unless you need a bit more moisture on some days.

3

How To Use

Apply one or two pea-sized amounts of Moisture Bomb 3-in-1 Moisturiser on clean, dry skin daily. Avoid the eye area. In case of contact with eyes, rinse them immediately and thoroughly. For best results, cleanse your skin beforehand.

I cleanse my face with the Garnier Skin Active Micellar Cleansing Water before applying the Moisture Bomb Moisturiser. I then wait for it to dry before applying my concealer and powder, it makes my skin and makeup look a lot less dry and it lasts throughout the day.

It also makes my skin feel so smooth and hydrated. It does not really have a smell to it which I like as I am not a fan of perfumed moisturiser.
This moisturiser is so light weight and melts and sinks into your skin, I use one pump to cover my whole face.

I have been using this for just over 2 weeks now and I love this moisturiser so much as it is not at all greasy or heavy on my skin.

I will add it is quite expensive for how little you get but I think it is worth the price.

This product is £7.99 and can find it in most stores and online in Boots here.

I will be buying the Night Cream to complete the Moisture Bomb range.
I would like to point out this isn’t a sponsored blog post, I just really like this skin care range.

Have you tried any of the Garnier Moisture Bomb skin care range?

NSPA – Deep Cleansing Mud Mask | Review

IMG_3370.JPG

NSPA – Deep Cleansing Mud Mask

A Dead-sea mineral mud mask to treat and refresh the skin for a beautiful complexion.

With Dead-Sea minerals, natural Beeswax and Seaweed extracts to deeply cleanse the pores and replenish tire skin.

How To Use

Apply to clean, damp skin with your fingertips, avoiding the immediate eye area. Relax and enjoy for up to 15 minutes, then rinse with warm water and gently pat dry.

1.jpg

Most Sunday evenings I like to have a pamper day….who doesn’t?
I love to have a hot bubble bath, put a good film on my TV, apply a hair mask to my hair and put a face mask on.

I have ran out of my Lush face masks and do not have any others so I went to ASDA (my local supermarket)  in search of a face mask because you can’t have a pamper day without a good face mask! I found this NSPA mask in the beauty isle and I have never heard of this brand before.

I picked it up because I wanted to try it out and as it comes in a small packet I knew if i did not like it I would not have wasted money or product.

2.jpg

Review

My first impression of this face mask was that even though it is a little packet, you do get a lot of product in it. You can get around 3-4 face masks out of this if you use it evenly, which I found great. Because you can get more then one use out of this packet and it is obliviously not reseable. I suggest folding the top over and holding it with a clip or putting it into an empty container to stop it from drying out.

The product is not messy,  as it is a clay mask it is a thick consitensy which is easily spreadable on the skin. It dries quite fast and it goes lighter when it is fully dry so you know when to wash it off. When on the skin it is not harsh and when drying it can itch a little but that is all.

Once dried I took a face cloth, soaked it in water and wiped the mask off my skin. It was easy to remove which I like as nobody likes a face mask that is hard to remove and messy.

IMG_3383.JPG

Overall

My skin felt really nice and smooth after using this, I thought my skin also looked nicer. My skin did not feel irritable after using this face mask and I just put my favourite moisturiser on after taking the mask off.

I would recommend buying if you are looking for a new face mask to try as you can buy the small packet to try it out and then if you like it you can buy the bigger tub.

This product is £1.59 in ASDA and you can find the full products on the NSPA website here.

Review

Previous from my other Clinique blog post, I also picked up this Clinique Airbrush Concealer. The sales assistant at Clinique also chose the colour that matched my skin colour perfectly and also tried this on my under eyes as well as a few blemishes to see what I thought of it before buying it.

This is the one of the great things I love about Clinique is that they will happily match you up to the products, try it out on you and let you walk around for a while with whatever product you are testing on to see if you like it.

This Airbrushed Concealer is a lightweight concealer that is light to medium coverage. When I put it on my under eyes it not only makes my dark circles less visible but it also brightens the area as well. It helps cover blemishes and redness well without leaving your skin cakey.

I have worn this on long days out and also in hot weather and it has not run or come off which is great. The brush applicator lets you easily place the product in the are which is needed, I then like to blend it in with my Real Techniques Stippling brush.

The only bad thing about this concealer is you can not tell when it is running out!

For my birthday I got a gift card for Boots. In the last year I have gotten into Clinique products, So I wanted to spend my gift card on some beauty products from there. I have tried some of their skincare products out and wanted to see what their beauty products were like.

I always love going into Clinique as the sales assistants are always so lovely and helpful.
I asked the lady who was working at the Clinique counter that I wanted to get a powder which was light on my skin, light to medium coverage and was wearable every day.

I also told her I do not usually wear a full face of makeup so wanted a powder I could wear every day that can cover my imperfections while not clogging up my pores and that can also give me natural looking even skin.

She showed me this compact powder which was light weight and light to medium coverage. She matched my skin colour to the powder perfectly. She then kindly applied the product to my skin and let me try it out before I decided if it was right for me.

PicMonkey Collage2Packaging

First of all,  as you can see the packaging is gorgeous!
It is this lovely mint green colour with a marble effect. The quality of this product is also amazing. I love the little details on this product and how fancy it looks.

Even the box it comes in is lovely.
It comes with a mirror inside so you can touch your powder up on the go. I like pressed powders that come with a mirror as they can be applied whenever you want. I find the added mirror handy. It also comes with a sponge applicator, but I do not like using sponges I prefer applying my powder with a makeup brush.

PicMonkey Collage1

Review

This pressed powder helps to get rid of shine while evening out your skin all while keeping your makeup looking natural. Because it is a light powder, It does not go cakey on your skin. This means even if you layer it on it still looks natural.

When using it over your foundation it helps keep everything in place all day. It is also a matte finish. Or if you prefer not to wear much makeup, you can use this powder on its own over concealer.

My favourite thing about this powder is that it is not orange! What I mean by this is that it is a natural colour and when applied onto my skin it does not go that orange colour that some powders go. I love this because most powders look nice and natural but do not come out that colour and goes a different colour and looks unnatural.

PicMonkey Collage

Overall

Overall I really like this powder more then my drug store ones. It does everything I need it to do while looking natural and does not clog my pores up.

The packing is gorgeous and it drew me into buying the product more, It is lovely and expensive looking and I love having it on display.

Even though it is expensive i have been using it every day for over 2 months and has not yet hit the pan. The quality of the product is defiantly worth the money.
