Aldi have brought out skincare products, Lacura is their skincare brand and they have a wide range of products and they are super affordable and work as well as leading brands. Some of the products they bring out are limited products that sell out quick! But some of their items they can be found for months after.

I came across this face mask as there has been a big hype around mud masks lately. As I do prefer sheet masks, once a month I do like to use a mud mask on my face as they really help to bring out all the impurities from the skin and make my face feel refreshed and clean! I like to use this mask with a face mask brush, it makes it so much easier to apply and is less messy!

Compared to other brands who sell face masks like this they can be ridicously priced and do the same thing, so for this only being £5.99 it is such a good product for the price and will save you a lot of money! Like most people I can not justify spending a fortune on skin care products no matter how good they! So finding affordable skin care products that actually work is amazing!

Review

This face mask instantly starts to draw out grease and dirt from the skin. It helps with breakouts too. It does tingle when applied onto spots. It applies nicely onto the skin, you apply this onto dry skin and leave it for 5-10 minutes. After this time you then wash the mask off your skin with warm water. It does recommend you can use this 1-2 times a week but like I said previously I like to use a mud mask once a month for a deep cleanse as using 1-2 times a week I can find it really drying on the skin. After removing this face masks, my skin feels so soft and smooth. Also my pores seem to be reduced!

I wouldn’t recommend using this face mask if you have sensitive skin as it has small granuals in it that help to expoliate the skin. So when taking this face mask off it can be a little rough on the skin. Apart from that I have no negative things to say about this face mask! It is such a good face mask, it is super affordable and it does what it claims to do! The packing of this product is nice and simple.

All in all I really do recommend this face mask, it is perfect for a pamper day and it really helps your skin. It makes it feel refreshed and clean and gets rid of all the impurities on your skin. For the amount of product you get for the price is amazing!

Review

These masks come in two pieces, one for the top half of your face and the other for the bottom half. Using these for the first time was confusing as these type of masks normally come whole. But after applying them to my skin I found them easy to apply as they are easier to place on your face because they come in two sections.

They are very hydrating on the skin so they are perfect for a Friday night pamper. After 5 minutes they leave your face feeling fresh and hydrated. I always find these face masks perfect for helping with dry skin, since we had colder weather my skin has gone more dry so these are perfect to help with that. They are easy to use, you just have to be careful when getting them out the packet. I recommend using these once a week.

The only dislike I have on these face masks are that they are rubber like because they are thicker than normal and I am used to using the sheet mask but other then that I have no dislikes to these face masks.

These are normally £3.00 but in Tesco they are currently £1.75
You can find them in Tesco, Boots and Superdrug or online here.

I really like these, they are quite thick but because they are eye masks they sit on your under eyes without slipping and hydrate the skin. They are also perfect to use on a pamper night at the end of a busy week. They are so hydrating on the under eyes and make you feel more refreshed.

I really like using under eye masks because after a week of using a computer my eyes can get tired and puffy and these really help to soothe them and also hydrate them. Unlike the face mask I feel like you can use these a couple times a week.

The price is a little expensive but you can find them when they go on sale, as I pick these up for my local Tesco when they are half price.

These are normally £3.50 but in Tesco they are currently £1.75
You can find them in Tesco, Boots and Superdrug or online here.

L’Oreal Pure Clay Facial Masks. For the first time, the L’Oréal Paris laboratories have selected three pure clays and combined them with charcoal, which acts like a magnet to draw out impurities. The creamy texture detoxifies the skin’s surface by cleansing deep into the pores, leaving the skin looking clarified and beautified without drying it out.

 Review

This clay face mask has a very thick constancy, Because it is a thick constancy a little goes a long way with this face mask which I like as you do not have to use a lot of the mask. It also applies evenly.

You leave this mask on for around 5-10 minutes, after this time you can feel it dry and become a little tighter on the skin. After it has dried, you can see your pores so you know it has deep cleansed your skin. To take this off, you take a  flannel or muslin cloth and soak it in warm water then just use it to wipe the mask off your skin. It comes off easily and mess free which is perfect. After using this face mask my face felt so smooth and more awake. I also felt my pores were not as bad as before but not fully gone.

After working for a few days I find this face mask perfect as it really gets all the dirt and grime out of my skin. It refreshes and makes my skin feel so much better so I use this face mask once a week to give my face a good deep cleanse and  refresh it.

What is perfect about this face mask is that you can use it all over the skin for a full face deep cleanse or you can just apply it too areas of the face that need a little detox. For example, a lot of the time I will just apply it too my nose or my forehead and leave for 5-10 minutes then rinse, as these are the areas of my face that get spotty and need a little detox.

Packaging

I find the packaging of this L’Oreal face mask as it looks and feels more expensive than it is. It also holds a lot of product so you get a lot of uses out of this.

IMG_3424.JPGOverall

Overall I really like this face mask and I would defiantly purchase again as well as trying out the other facemasks from this range. I find it a good, affordable mask that you can use a lot on different areas of the face.

On the packaging it does say 10 applications but I think you can get a lot more applications from this product.

This product is £7.99in Boots and you can find it in stores or online here.

Most Sunday evenings I like to have a pamper day….who doesn’t?
I love to have a hot bubble bath, put a good film on my TV, apply a hair mask to my hair and put a face mask on.

I have ran out of my Lush face masks and do not have any others so I went to ASDA (my local supermarket)  in search of a face mask because you can’t have a pamper day without a good face mask! I found this NSPA mask in the beauty isle and I have never heard of this brand before.

I picked it up because I wanted to try it out and as it comes in a small packet I knew if i did not like it I would not have wasted money or product.

2.jpg

Review

My first impression of this face mask was that even though it is a little packet, you do get a lot of product in it. You can get around 3-4 face masks out of this if you use it evenly, which I found great. Because you can get more then one use out of this packet and it is obliviously not reseable. I suggest folding the top over and holding it with a clip or putting it into an empty container to stop it from drying out.

The product is not messy,  as it is a clay mask it is a thick consitensy which is easily spreadable on the skin. It dries quite fast and it goes lighter when it is fully dry so you know when to wash it off. When on the skin it is not harsh and when drying it can itch a little but that is all.

Once dried I took a face cloth, soaked it in water and wiped the mask off my skin. It was easy to remove which I like as nobody likes a face mask that is hard to remove and messy.

IMG_3383.JPG

Overall

My skin felt really nice and smooth after using this, I thought my skin also looked nicer. My skin did not feel irritable after using this face mask and I just put my favourite moisturiser on after taking the mask off.

I would recommend buying if you are looking for a new face mask to try as you can buy the small packet to try it out and then if you like it you can buy the bigger tub.

This product is £1.59 in ASDA and you can find the full products on the NSPA website here.

Pamper / Lazy Day

pamper day

After having a bad week or finishing all your assignments you just want to sit back and relax and have some ‘me time’.

Heres a few things that i do to help me relax;

pamper 1

First thing i do is get into some comfy clothing. I either opt for pjs or joggers and a slouchy top and slipper socks. I hate having to get dressed if I’m just going to lounge about all day so i put on my comfiest clothes.
The Hello Kitty pjs are from primark and the slipper socks are also from primark.

I’ve recently got back into painting my nails as I’ve always been busy to take my old nail varnish and put a new coat on. But since getting new nail polishes i’ve been putting new colours on my nails each week. This week i went for these No7 Gel – look shine & No7 Nail effect. These are in the shades ‘Neptune’ & ‘Sun Rays’.

pamper 2

When I’m in bed i love reading when i get some free time, i love getting lost in a book but since being at uni I’ve found no time to read. So at the weekend or my day off i love reading a few chapters. My current favourite book is Fangirl, i got this at christmas and i haven’t put it down yet!

I also love magazines and i have a box full of old ones i can’t bear to throw away! (yup I’m a hoarder of old magazines) I love Vogue but being on a budget this is a treat when i have money, Vogue always reminds me of when i was in high school and i desperately wanted to read it but as it cost’s about £5 i couldn’t bring myself to buy it. Then while i was at my dads we went to the shop and he bought Vogue for me and i still have that magazine now as i was so happy to finally get it. I also love reading ‘Teen Vogue’ ‘Seventeen’ ‘Company’ & ‘Elle’.

Face mask’s are a great way to help you relax and also pamper yourself. When i have free time or when i go for a hot bubble bath i love putting on a face mask, these two are my favourite face mask’s and they always leave my face feeling so soft and brighter looking.

Pamper 3

Bath bombs are bath fizzes i don’t use every time i have a bath, i like using them when I’m feeling stressed or ill to make myself feel better. I got a few bath bombs for christmas and i can’t wait to use them. Yesterday i used the Lush bath bomb my sister got me and i absolutely loved it! (review coming soon)

On my pamper days i use a hair mask to give my hair a break and to restore the damage that colouring my hair has done to it. The L’Oreal Elvive leaves my hair feeling softer and also a little thicker and the John Frieda leaves it feeling healthy and smells amazing. I have yet to try the Sanctuary hair mask, i got this off my mum for christmas and i will be doing a review on it soon.

pamper 4\

When i have free time or I’m having a pamper day i love watching films and catching up with tv series.
Currently I’m loving Heroes, i watched this when it came out years ago and me and my family have been watching a few episodes every night and i can’t get enough of it!

I’m also loving 90210 as i used to watch it when my sister watched it and its on Netflix so I’ve been re watching it from the beginning.

Netflix has put Pretty Little Liars on and I’m so happy and me and my friend used to be obsessed with it and i watched every episode when it came out but recently I’ve had to watch it on online sites and could never find one that didn’t buffer or freeze so I left it. But now i can catch up on all the episodes i missed and get back into it again!

What do you do on your pamper/lazy days?

*The natural light wasn’t on my side while taking these photo’s so had to opt for a nice filter to make them look better. Getting natural light can be a pain to bloggers!*

Face Mask Review

santuary

sanctuary-logo

Sanctuary is a high end product and a little on the pricy side. I only use them once in a while as a deep skin treatment.

Here are my two favourite face mask’s and my review on them

Warming Charcoal Detox Mask

or_2e53745312332303285973 IMG_7110

The warming charcoal mask is amazing! My mum had the little sachets of them and i decided to use it while i had a bath as the weather and the stress of university has both joined forces and broke my skin out! As soon as you put it on you can feel it warming up and it’s so nice, i only put half the pack on my face and left it on while i relaxed in the bath. After i washed it all off and my skin felt so nice and smooth and i can see it actually helped my skin and my blemishes go down.

If you want to go all out and purchase the 100ml bottle (£10.50) click here
or if you just want the 15ml sachet (£3.00) click here.

Moisture Boosting Mask

or_169787f1125734368419521 IMG_0996

The moisture boosting mask i wasn’t too keen on. It’s a good face mask it does what it says on the packaging but i didn’t like the way it felt on my face.  It made my face feel nice and smooth and look a little brighter but i didn’t like what it felt like when it was on. It felt greasy and it took me a long time to take it off and after it felt like i still had it on. But if you prefer this type of mask then the peal off ones or the paper makes then this would be great for you.

You can buy this from boots (£3.00) here

What are your favourite face masks? I love trying out new face masks especially when having a hot bubble bath 🙂
