Garnier SkinActive – Moisture Bomb | Daily Moisturiser & Tissue Mask Review

Garnier SkinActive – Moisture Bomb | Daily Moisturiser & Tissue Mask Review

Now it is getting a lot colder in the UK, my skin is in more need of moisturiser as the cold makes my skin so dry. I have been looking for a good moisturiser that lasts throughout the day and makes my skin feel hydrated.

I came across the Garnier Skin Active Tissue mask in Boots and after seeing a lot of bloggers talking about it and because I am a huge fan of face masks I decided to give it a go.
Because I found the Tissue Mask such a good moisture mask that made my skin feel so hydrated, I decided to see what their day moisturiser was like.

This blog post will be quite a long one as I will be talking about both the Tissue Mask and Daily Moisturiser.

Garnier SkinActive – Moisture Bomb |  Tissue Mask

Super-hydrating revitalising mask for dehydrated skin. Intensely rehydrates skin, reduces the look of fine lines, and revives radiance. Enriched with pomegranate extract, hyaluronic acid, and plant serum.

Is Garnier Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask right for me?

Yes, if your skin is dehydrated, shows the effects of time and your lifestyle (dullness, irregularities, fine lines…), and if you are looking for an effective solution to rehydrate and revitalise the radiance of your skin.

How is it different?

This super hydrating tissue mask, inspired by Asia, diffuses the equivalent level of hydrating serum as per 1 week’s use of day care.* Truly innovative, its ultra-thin tissue is infused with a super-hydrating serum. Unmask smoother, bouncier, healthier looking skin in just 15 minutes. Applied to the face, it acts like a hydration wrap that continuously diffuses all the effectiveness of the serum intensely hydrating your skin. Its amazing freshness quenches and comforts skin instantly, for a pure moment of absolute pampering. The mask is easy to apply and remove. Suitable for all skin types, even sensitive.

*Equivalent to the concentration of hydrating glycerin in Moisture Bomb Day Cream used daily for 1 week.

Proven effectiveness:

In 15 minutes: Skin is intensely rehydrated, Skin looks smoother, Complexion is radiant. Fine lines appear reduced, Skin looks plumper, Skin radiance is revitalised.

The Tissue Mask comes in a foil packet and contains one mask.
On the back of the packet it has instructions on how to use the tissue mask and how long to apply it for.

How To Use

1. Unfold the mask. Carefully apply the white tissue to thoroughly cleansed skin. Make sure the blue protective film is facing outwards. Smooth the mask gently to ensure contact with the skin.

2. Remove the protective film.

3. Adjust the mask contours on the face. Leave for 15 minutes.

4. To remove the mask, peel off slowly from the edges. Gently massage in any excess serum, or use a cotton pad to remove.

I found the actual mask a bit messy at first, I did not think it would be filled of product. It is also very cold on the skin but after a while it becomes quite soothing. It can also be a bit fiddly trying to get the protective film off.

I like to use this tissue mask twice a week as I can get quite dry skin, especially wearing makeup for work for long hours. I normally apply the mask after washing my hair and when I have a good film on so I can relax more.

When removing the mask I like to take the mask and rub the remaining product into my skin and then letting the product dry.

The holes in the mask are big enough to go around your eyes, nose and mouth. It is not greasy either so leaves your skin feeling very moisturised.

After the first use I felt my skin was so much more hydrated and looked more brighter and  the finish dewy looking. It is such a great mask to put on for 15 minutes as it is not drying like most face masks and not as half as messy!

I highly recommend this tissue mask if you have very dry skin or would just like to hydrate your skin a little. I keep recommending this mask to my friends and family as it has become my new favourite.

It is also £0.99 in Boots so I have been stocking up on them while they are currently on offer.

It is great value for money and does the job perfectly.

This product is originally £1.49 and you can find it in most stores or online at Boots here.

Is Moisture Bomb 3-in-1 Moisturiser right for me?

Yes, if your skin is dehydrated, shows the effects of time and your lifestyle (dullness, irregularities, fine lines…) and you seek a care that efficiently hydrates and leaves it feeling protected.

This moisturiser comes in a round, small bottle. You do not need a lot of product as a little goes a long way, unless you need a bit more moisture on some days.

How To Use

Apply one or two pea-sized amounts of Moisture Bomb 3-in-1 Moisturiser on clean, dry skin daily. Avoid the eye area. In case of contact with eyes, rinse them immediately and thoroughly. For best results, cleanse your skin beforehand.

I cleanse my face with the Garnier Skin Active Micellar Cleansing Water before applying the Moisture Bomb Moisturiser. I then wait for it to dry before applying my concealer and powder, it makes my skin and makeup look a lot less dry and it lasts throughout the day.

It also makes my skin feel so smooth and hydrated. It does not really have a smell to it which I like as I am not a fan of perfumed moisturiser.
This moisturiser is so light weight and melts and sinks into your skin, I use one pump to cover my whole face.

I have been using this for just over 2 weeks now and I love this moisturiser so much as it is not at all greasy or heavy on my skin.

I will add it is quite expensive for how little you get but I think it is worth the price.

This product is £7.99 and can find it in most stores and online in Boots here.

I will be buying the Night Cream to complete the Moisture Bomb range.
I would like to point out this isn’t a sponsored blog post, I just really like this skin care range.

Have you tried any of the Garnier Moisture Bomb skin care range?

No7 Advent Calendar – Day 11

Day 11 of the No7 advent calendar

No7 Beautiful Skin – Eye Make-Up Remover

‘This gentle dual action formula conditions while it cleanses, removing all traces of eye make-up even waterproof mascara. Fragrance free and suitable for sensitive eyes.’

Today’s little gift in the advent calendar was this eye make- up remover. It comes in this blue-bottle and the liquid is also blue which is a nice change. The product is quite oily which can be a bad thing for certain skin types, but it does the job removing make-up. Even though this product is quite oily it does sink into the skin fast and doesn’t leave it feeling greasy. I wear a lot of eyeliner and mascara so taking it off at night can sometimes be a pain so this will be great for getting the bit’s that don’t normally come off with face wipes. The liquid in the bottle separates quite fast so you have to shake it before you use it to mix the liquids up.

You can pick this up from boots for £8.50 here.

No7 Advent Calendar – Day 9

Day 9 of the No7 advent calendar

No7 Protect & Perfect – Night Creme

‘No7 Protect & Perfect Night Cream protects young skin to delay first signs of ageing, boost radiance & visibly improves fine lines.’

Today I got a night creme, I have the champneys night creme and I really like that so I’m hoping for good things for this night creme. I know it says ageing in the description but I’m looking past that and just using it as a creme. What I love about No7 products is that they do not smell too strong that have a light scent to them, they are also not heavy on the skin and sink into your skin fast so you don’t have to wait around for them to dry. I can’t really say much about this product as I’ve not had time to use it yet but I will keep you updated.

You can pick this up from boots for £23.00 here.

No7 Advent Calendar – Day 8

Day 8 of the No7 advent calendar

No7 Beautiful Skin – Radiance Exfoliator

‘No7 Beautiful Skin Radiance Exfoliator.’

Today I got this little exfoliator which I’m happy about as i normally use the Sanctuary Radiance Exfoliator but I use it sparingly as it’s quite expensive and i want it to last as long as i can make it. I used this on my face this morning, you apply it to damp skin and gently massage it into your skin then you wash away with warm water. It left my face feeling smooth and it smells nice, a little also goes a long way. You can feel the difference with the first use and its also easy to clean off the skin. I also love how the beads in these do not hurt your skin as I’ve used an exfoliator once and it scratched my face! This product doesn’t dry or irate your skin and it’s aimed at Normal to Dry skin types. I also really like the packaging of this product, it has a cute pastel pink lid and the pink beads show through giving it this dainty cute look.

You can pick this up from boots for £8.50 here.

No7 Advent Calendar – Day 6

Day 6 of the No7 advent calendar

No7 Lash Impact – Intense Volume Control

‘No7 Lash Impact adds intense volume for dramatic lashes. It gives great volume in 1 coat, and an amplified false lash effect in 2 coats without clumping’

When I opened the Day 6 door today I got a little excited when I saw the red packaging as i thought it was a red lipstick (which I’ve wanted for a while) but it turned out to be a mascara. I love the red glittery packaging as it stands out and looks so pretty! I also love the brush its a large brush and it gets every lash and makes them longer and gives them more volume and doesn’t clump! I’m not a fan of clumpy eyelashes so I like mine to be more volumized but subtle and this does the job. It keeps the shape and stays in place, i put it on at 9 o’clock and its stayed in place till now. Overall i love this mascara as i don’t use any other’s apart from my natural collection one, it makes my lashes look lovely and its a nice size to put in my makeup bag, I’m happy with todays little gift.

You can pick this up at boots for £13.50
I have the black mascara you can find it here

*I know these advent calendar post’s everyday can get a bit repetitive and a little boring but i thought it would be nice to do a little review on everything in this calendar as its a different kind of advent then i normally get and it might help people who want the products from it. So thanks for sticking with me and reading these and not getting bored of the same post every day!*

Make Up Routine And Products

I rarely wear makeup but when i do this is what i use and these are my go to products. I use two eyeliner’s and I use the Real Techniques stippling brush to apply my powder and foundation.

Botanics – 3 in 1 Cleansing Solution
This cleanser is good at cleaning makeup off your skin and also using as a toner, you can buy this for boots and i have a full review on this product on another post.

Champneys – Moisturising Day Cream
This is hands down my favourite moisturizer and i also have the night cream, it’s light on your skin and doesn’t leave it feeling oily and it sinks straight into your skin so you don’t have to wait for it to dry.

L’Oreal – Nude Magique
I don’t wear foundation so I went out on a whim and purchased this a while ago and because its like a powder more than a foundation it isn’t oily looking. It blends into your skin so easily, because its like a powder but its a foundation it covers all your blemishes and leaves skin looking even.

Maybelline – Fit Me Powder
This is my favourite powder, it’s quite a light powder but you can build it up on your skin and gives your skin a nice healthy look.

Seventeen – Brow’s That!
I use this to fill in my eyebrows and its a good cheap product, it not too dark so you can build the colour up.

Collection 2000 – Fast Stroke Eyeliner
I use this eyeliner to fill in my winged out look, it stays in place all day and is an affordable eyeliner.

Natural Collection – Mascara
I love this mascara and it’s not fancy or pricy, it just does the job of making your lashes look longer and nicer.

L’Oreal – Super Liner
I use this eyeliner first as its gone a long fine tip and i use it to line my eyes and create the winged out look. It’s a cheap product for those on a budget and its so easy to apply!

Boots Botanics Review

beauty product review

I went to boots the other day with my mum and saw the Boots Botanics were on offer and decided to pick up some and try them out.

Boots Botanics Review

‘From organic skincare to luxurious bath and body, Botanics make products that are affordable and that really work. Exclusive to Boots.’

Micellar 3 in 1 Cleansing solution

‘Dissolves make up, unclogs pores and removes impurities’

I don’t wear make up so i don’t know if it does the job of removing it but for unclogging pores it does a good job! My face felt nice and soft after and didn’t feel sticky like some cleansing solutions do. It doesn’t have a smell to it which I’m a little disappointed about as i like fruity smelling products. If you are looking for a cheap cleansing solutions or a dupe of miracle water i would recommend this.

This is on offer in boots and you can get it here.

Skin Calming Day Cream

‘Soothes, protects and hydrates for sensitive skin’

This product has had mixed reviews on their website but i like this day cream and it hasn’t irrerated my skin or broke me out. It feels nice on the skin and soaks in fast, it smells also smells alright. It isn’t heavy or the skin or greasy feeling which is great as i hate using moisturisers that feel horrible on your skin or don’t dry into your skin. The packaging is nice and stands out.

This is on offer in boots and you can get it here.

I might do an updated review on it after using it for a month to see if it is a good product if you would like to see that.

Sanctuary Radiance Exfoliator Review

beauty product review

Sanctuary Radiance Exfoliator

‘Ultra-fine apricot granules and grape seed exfoliate and refine, while a trio of pumpkin, pineapple and papaya extracts work naturally to help increase cell renewal. Skin is left feeling smooth and glowing with radiance.’

This is one of the best exfoliator i have used. Most times when i use products with the little beads in it, they normally make my face dry and itchy but this just makes my skin feel smooth and looking amazing, It also has a nice fruity smell to it. You put this on after you have wet your face and apply in circular motions, then you rinse with warm water. I like to use it when i have a bath and leave it on for 5 minutes then wash it off my face. It helps refine and even skin tone for a lasting glow, and it does what it says on the tin! I would recommend only using this once or twice a week.

You can purchase the product here

Whats your favourite exfoliator? If you have a dupe of this please leave it below as i would love to try it and it will help people who don’t want to pay a lot for this product 🙂
