 Review

I came across the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge in ASDA when I was doing my food shop. I have seen everyone rave about beauty blenders but never thought of buying one as I rarely wear foundation so thought it would be a waste. Anyway, It was on offer so I decided to pick it up and give it a go.

Review

I tried the sponge out first with my Clinique Superbalanced Foundation, I put some of the foundation on the back of my hand and dotted it over my face using my finger. I then used the sponge to blend the product in. I found that the sponge soaks up more of the product then it did distributing and blending it in over my skin. I then tried it with my Clinique Airbrush Concealer, I found It blended the concealer more and it made it less cakey looking then it did when applied with my fingers or a foundation brush.

One of the things I like is how different sides of the sponge help apply different face product better. The pointed end is perfect for applying concealer as It can get under the eyes and around the nose better than a brush can.

Overall

Overall I must say I am not a huge fan of this product, I find that it soaks up more of the product you are using then it does distributing it over your skin. I only like it for blending concealer under my eyes and around my nose and I have not used it a lot since buying it. I know a lot of other people love beauty blenders but I will stick with my Stippling Brush when applying my base makeup.

Using the sponge also felt like I was blending the products in more then using the stippling brush as you have to dab the sponge around your face alot more so the product is all blended in.

This product is £5.99 and you can pick it up from Boots, Superdrug, Asda and other places or you can find it online here.

Have you tried the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge?

Review

This foundation is a miracle in a bottle! I first came across this when my sister’s friend used it and she said it looked like she was not  wearing any foundation and her skin looked amazing, my sister got matched up to the shade ‘Calico’ and when the women at the counter applied it to her face i couldn’t even tell she had anything on! It blends into the skin perfectly and does not look cakey (nobody want’s their foundation to look cakey.) When i saw it on my sister i knew i had to own this foundation for myself!

The packaging for this product looks amazing and even though it’s simple its eye-catching and does not look cheap. I only need one pump to cover my face and its a medium coverage so you can build it up. I apply this to my skin with the Real Techniques – Stippling Brush and it’s easy to apply and sinks into your face and leaves you with even and nice looking skin. It stays on your skin all day and gives you the right coverage without looking caked in foundation.

What i love about this foundation is it’s a radiance boost for tired or stressed skin, everyone has those days where they look like rubbish and this is the perfect pick me up. It gives you the brightness and even skin tone but without looking like you’ve put a layer of foundation on.

The price is £12.50 but it has a variety of shades and you can go to the No7 counter and they will match up with the little machine they have for free and help you pick out the right shade.

I can’t hype this product up enough as it tick’s all the boxes to the perfect foundation, this will defiantly be my new daily foundation and as you i only need one pump to do my entire face it will last for a while before i need to go repurchase it. If your unsure about this product check it out on the boot’s website as it has everything you need to know on there and also people’s reviews.

What is your favourite daily foundation?
