Boxclever Press- Family Life Book & Life Book | Review

Box Clever Press |Family Life Book & Life Book – Review

I found this brand of organisers last year, since then they have become my favourite organisers to help plan my weeks and keep myself more organised.

If you know me, you know I ALWAYS go on about these and have recommended them to everyone I know. I find them so handy and practical for any person.

Family Life Book

When I first purchased my ‘Family life planner’ it was by a company called Organised Mum. When I went to repurchase it, I couldn’t find it anywhere! I was so gutted as I found it such a good way to keep organised.

A while later I found out the company had changed its name to Box Clever Press and found their website. It has everything a stationary lover needs! From stickers to pens and a whole load of other things to help keep organised and make your organiser look nice. It is also affordable! Which is a big plus!

I normally buy the family life planners as because they have sections for each family member, I used these for things like ‘work’ so I can put my shifts in and then ‘appointments’ so I can keep up to date with my nail, hair and doctors appointments because I’m forever forgetting the time and date of them!

Before Christmas I found they had the Life Book with faux leather cover. I’ve had my eye on this one as I’ve had two Family Life Books and wanted an organiser for my desk as I carry the Family Life one with me all the time in my bag. I wanted one to help me keep up with blog posts and to jot down things I needed to do.

I put off buying it for weeks as it was coming up to Christmas and it is already an expensive month with present buying, so treating yourself is the last thing on your mind.

I was over the moon when at Christmas I opened my present off my boyfriend to find the olive-green faux leather cover! I opened it and it had the Life Book organiser I really wanted too! (Always talking about wanting it worked well.) It also came with stickers and an address book.

If you’re looking for a good organiser which has;

Weekly planners

Great for keeping up with work shifts, appointments, plans and other things.

Budget plans

They have budgets for each month, These are great as if your on a budget it really helps with keeping tabs on you’re in going’s and our goings and spendings. I find it great to jot down all my outgoings so I know how much budget I have for each week.

It has a present planner and also a budget for the presents so you can keep up to date with your spendings. Also great for getting organised earlier in the year so you’re not having a mad panic a wee before Christmas.

To Do – Shopping Lists

It also has to do lists and shopping lists which are great to jot down things you need and they easily tear out the organiser.

Weekly and monthly planner

They all have monthly planners and weekly ones to help with planning ahead and for the week.

They also come with stickers which have things like ‘birthday’ and ‘important’ on them which you can stick on the dates to help you keep up to date with things.

Then these are for you, they are affordable and have everything you could possibly need in them. I think they are defiantly worth the price. The Life Book is my 3rd organiser from this company and it is the best one I have purchased by far! It has everything I could possibly need and its affordable.

The faux leather cases come in different colours, they also do them in leather. They also have lots of different organisers, calendars, stationary and much more. You can find all this on their website here.

These pictures are from the Box Clever Press Instagram page that you can find here.

Family Life Book is £11.99 and you can find it here.

Life Book is £24.99 and you can find it here.

They currently have a sale on their products so now is the perfect time to get your hands on any of these amazing organisers!

L’Oreal Paris Skin Expert | Micellar Water – Review

L’Oreal Paris Skin Expert| Micellar Water – Review

Micellar water has become so popular lately! It is the new way to take your makeup off easily without having to use tons of other products.
It helps soothe your skin and does not leave it feeling clogged.

Finding the perfect micellar water for you can be annoying as there are so many different brands with different micellar waters with many benefits. So you are stuck for choice and do not know which one will be the best for you.

My favourite up to now has been the Garnier SkinActive Micellar Water. I wrote a review on it a few months ago, if you would like to read my review on that the link is here.
I have been using this product for months and I have never had a problem with it.

I only decided to try a different product as sometimes my skin can get used to using the same product and I also like to switch things up and try new things to compare them.

Product Details

The L’Oreal Paris Laboratories have created a Micellar Water, made with purified water from an advanced purification process, and combined micelles that capture impurities, for effective cleansing which is gentle on sensitive skin.

Removes make-up dissolves make-up from the face, eyes and lips in one gentle action, without rubbing or rinsing.
Cleanses delicately captures impurities.
Soothes: Calms skin and prevents irritation.

How To Use;

1. Morning and evening, apply a generous amount to a cotton pad.
2. On dry skin, wipe pad all over the face, no need to rub or rinse.
3. Press gently to lashes, lids and lips and simply sweep away.

PicMonkey Collage-10Review

The first thing I noticed when I first used this was that it had no smell to it, this is great as you can not smell any perfume to the product so you know its going to be gentle on your skin.

I found it easily removed my makeup without me using multiple cotton pads to remove the access makeup off my skin. The only thing that I have found with micellar water is that you sometimes need to use another cotton pad on your eyes as some mascara is a pain to remove!

My skin also feels so nourished and hydrated after using this and it does not feel sticky or tight. I know that some micellar waters can leave you skin feeling like you have a thin layer of residue left over and this can make your skin feel sticky. But this does not leave that, it just makes your skin feel amazing after taking your makeup off.

I have only been using this product for 14 days but I have really like this product and I find it removes your makeup without making your skin feel in bad condition.

The packing of this product is nice and simple. It has all the information you need to know on the back of the bottle. It is also a big bottle that you know is going to last you a while before you need to repurchase it.

Overall I think this product is worth its money and it a very good way of removing your makeup without being harsh on your skin or leaving it feeling in a bad condition. I highly recommend this product if you are after a micellar water.

This product was £3.99 in Asda on offer and you can find it online here.

What is your favourite micellar water?

Hair Care For Coloured Hair | Mini Reviews

Hair Care For Coloured Hair

When you get your hair dyed either at home or at the hairdressers, you do not want your hair fading quickly or using products that strip out your hair colour.

Over the years of having my hair dyed at home and at the hairdressers, I have finally found products that keep my hair shiny and bright and maintains the colour.

As you can see from the image above all these products are from the L’Oreal range. I have used these products for around 2 years now and I swear by these products.

L’Oreal Elvive Colour Protect | Caring Shampoo

PicMonkey Collage-6

The science of coloured hair

Repeated washing, sun exposure, pollution and external aggressions can make coloured hair more sensitive. With time colour fades, losing its shine and intensity.

The secret to colour protection

The L’Oréal laboratories have created a formula which acts on 3 Dimensions of colour – Intensity, Luminosity, Reflection:
1 Maintains Colour Intensity: The new Colour-Seal Elixir™ has been developed to intensively condition, to help protect colour from fading and preserve its intensity.
2 Protects Hair: The formula enriched with UVA/UVB Filters protects coloured hair from external aggressions. Hair looks full of life.
3 Prolongs Radiance: The formula with Concentrated Nourishment intensely nourishes the hair and smoothes its surface. Shine is revived and radiance is

Proven results

Intense, radiant colour: 80% of colour radiance maintained after 28 washes

This shampoo is so light on my hair and the only time I see my hair dye in the water is when I was my hair the first time after it has been dyed, after that when I wash my hair it does not strip any colour from my hair.

The shampoo also smells amazing and keeps my hair looking so shiny and healthy! I have been using this shampoo for nearly two years as it is the only shampoo I find that does not strip my hair or leave it looking dull.

This product is £2.50 and you can find it online here.

L’Oreal Elvive Colour Protect | Conditioning Spray

PicMonkey Collage-7

Product Details

Does your coloured hair need a convenient protecting boost, that instantly detangles hair, and is so lightweight you can use it everyday?

The secret to colour protection

The L’Oréal Paris laboratories have developed Colour Protect Leave-in Spray enriched with UVA/UVB Filters. Its formula nourishes the hair and helps protect it from external aggressions to leave colour shimmering.

Delivered in an ultra-fine spray, the formula disperses evenly onto the hair, detangling instantly without weighing it down.

Your hair is instantly detangled and manageable: combing is easy! Protected, your colour looks vibrant and shines with enhanced radiance.

How To Use

So light, can be used daily.1. On dry hair, to refresh between washes or on the go.2. On damp hair, after washing focusing on the lengths. For extra care and protection use as part of the complete Elvive Colour Protect range. No need to rinse out.

I thought I would pick this up as they had a 3 for 2 offer on the L’Oreal Colour Protect range, I thought I would try this as I curl my hair a lot for work and my ends were getting a little dry and not looking the best. After washing my hair I like to spray this on the ends of my hair and then use the hair dryer on it.

Because I do not actually use conditioner on my hair as I feel like it makes my hair far too soft and even thinner looking I find this great to use on days I feel like my hair needs a little TLC without having to use conditioner as it is not as heavy as using conditioner but still has the same benefits.

This product is £4.99 and you can find it online here.

Proven Results
Lasting colour vibrancy – 48H hold

As I said previously my hair is quite fine and does not hold curls in my hair for a long time, I picked this up as it is part of the colour protect range. I’ve only been using this for 4 months but I find it gives my hair so much texture and hold without it going hard in my hair like some hair mousse do.

I like to put some on my hair and then run it though the ends of my hair and then blow dry and then style my hair. It keeps the curls in place for so much longer and also keeps my hair looking very volumized!

I only use this product once a week.

This product is £1.73 and you can find it online here.

As you have probably read a lot in my hair reviews on my blog, I LOVE this product. It is a hair product I use every time I wash my hair and that I swear by.

I only use two pumps of this and I like to run it through my hair and then I often leave it to air dry. I find it keeps my hair looking so shiny and feeling so soft and holds the colour in. I’ve noticed my hair does not look or feel dry when I have used this and because I have thin hair, it often knots a lot but when I used this product it helps get the knots out better and makes it easier to brush.

I rave about this product all the time to everyone as I think its such an amazing hair care product for normal or coloured hair.
This is the most expensive product but it is worth the money and lasts for a good few months before you need to buy a new one.

This product is £8.00 and you can find it online here.

So there’s my 4 favourite hair care products for coloured hair.
What are you favourite hair care products?
What are your thoughts on them?

Real Techniques – Miracle Complexion Sponge | Review

Real Techniques – Miracle Complexion Sponge

PicMonkey Collage-3.jpg

I came across the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge in ASDA when I was doing my food shop. I have seen everyone rave about beauty blenders but never thought of buying one as I rarely wear foundation so thought it would be a waste. Anyway, It was on offer so I decided to pick it up and give it a go.
PicMonkey Collage.jpg
Real Techniques by Sam Chapman introduces its new innovative Miracle Complexion Sponge. The Miracle Complexion Sponge will give you the pixel perfect, flawless base you have always dreamed of. The sponge is completely unique, featuring 3 distinct surfaces that give you 3 ways to apply liquid foundation.
Optimize your beauty routine with this 3-in-1 multi- functional sponge

Rounded sides – blend large areas of the face with a repeated “dabbing” or “stippling” motion

Precision tip – covers blemishes and imperfections

Flat edge – for the contours around the eyes and nose

Its versatile design evenly blends makeup for a smooth, enhanced finish, use with your favourite foundation to help reduce the appearance of pores

PicMonkey Collage-2.jpg

I tried the sponge out first with my Clinique Superbalanced Foundation, I put some of the foundation on the back of my hand and dotted it over my face using my finger. I then used the sponge to blend the product in. I found that the sponge soaks up more of the product then it did distributing and blending it in over my skin. I then tried it with my Clinique Airbrush Concealer, I found It blended the concealer more and it made it less cakey looking then it did when applied with my fingers or a foundation brush.

One of the things I like is how different sides of the sponge help apply different face product better. The pointed end is perfect for applying concealer as It can get under the eyes and around the nose better than a brush can.

Overall I must say I am not a huge fan of this product, I find that it soaks up more of the product you are using then it does distributing it over your skin. I only like it for blending concealer under my eyes and around my nose and I have not used it a lot since buying it. I know a lot of other people love beauty blenders but I will stick with my Stippling Brush when applying my base makeup.

Using the sponge also felt like I was blending the products in more then using the stippling brush as you have to dab the sponge around your face alot more so the product is all blended in.

This product is £5.99 and you can pick it up from Boots, Superdrug, Asda and other places or you can find it online here.

Have you tried the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge?
What are your thoughts?

L’Oreal – Pure Clay | Detox Mask Review

 L’Oreal – Pure Clay | Detox Mask

Product Description

L’Oreal Pure Clay Facial Masks. For the first time, the L’Oréal Paris laboratories have selected three pure clays and combined them with charcoal, which acts like a magnet to draw out impurities. The creamy texture detoxifies the skin’s surface by cleansing deep into the pores, leaving the skin looking clarified and beautified without drying it out.

A powerful blend of 3 pure clays

Koalin A highly effective natural clay, known to absorb impurities and excess sebum.

Montmorillonite Rich in minerals, a clay recognised for helping to eliminate imperfections.

Ghassoul A pure clay highly concentrated in minerals renowned to help clarify complexion.Instant and lasting, visible resultsImmediately: skin is purer and clearer.Use for one week: skin feels fresher, and more luminous.Use after use: skin can breathe and is visibly transformed.

How To Use

L’Oreal Pure Clay Facial Masks. On clean skin, apply a thin layer all over the face, 2-3 times a week. Avoid the eyes and lips. Leave to dry for 5-10 minutes, then remove with a wet towel or warm
PicMonkey Collage.jpg

This clay face mask has a very thick constancy, Because it is a thick constancy a little goes a long way with this face mask which I like as you do not have to use a lot of the mask. It also applies evenly.

You leave this mask on for around 5-10 minutes, after this time you can feel it dry and become a little tighter on the skin. After it has dried, you can see your pores so you know it has deep cleansed your skin. To take this off, you take a  flannel or muslin cloth and soak it in warm water then just use it to wipe the mask off your skin. It comes off easily and mess free which is perfect. After using this face mask my face felt so smooth and more awake. I also felt my pores were not as bad as before but not fully gone.

After working for a few days I find this face mask perfect as it really gets all the dirt and grime out of my skin. It refreshes and makes my skin feel so much better so I use this face mask once a week to give my face a good deep cleanse and  refresh it.

What is perfect about this face mask is that you can use it all over the skin for a full face deep cleanse or you can just apply it too areas of the face that need a little detox. For example, a lot of the time I will just apply it too my nose or my forehead and leave for 5-10 minutes then rinse, as these are the areas of my face that get spotty and need a little detox.

PicMonkey Collage-2.jpg

I find the packaging of this L’Oreal face mask as it looks and feels more expensive than it is. It also holds a lot of product so you get a lot of uses out of this.

Overall I really like this face mask and I would defiantly purchase again as well as trying out the other facemasks from this range. I find it a good, affordable mask that you can use a lot on different areas of the face.

On the packaging it does say 10 applications but I think you can get a lot more applications from this product.

This product is £7.99in Boots and you can find it in stores or online here.

NSPA – Deep Cleansing Mud Mask | Review

NSPA – Deep Cleansing Mud Mask

A Dead-sea mineral mud mask to treat and refresh the skin for a beautiful complexion.

With Dead-Sea minerals, natural Beeswax and Seaweed extracts to deeply cleanse the pores and replenish tire skin.

How To Use

Apply to clean, damp skin with your fingertips, avoiding the immediate eye area. Relax and enjoy for up to 15 minutes, then rinse with warm water and gently pat dry.

Most Sunday evenings I like to have a pamper day….who doesn’t?
I love to have a hot bubble bath, put a good film on my TV, apply a hair mask to my hair and put a face mask on.

I have ran out of my Lush face masks and do not have any others so I went to ASDA (my local supermarket)  in search of a face mask because you can’t have a pamper day without a good face mask! I found this NSPA mask in the beauty isle and I have never heard of this brand before.

I picked it up because I wanted to try it out and as it comes in a small packet I knew if i did not like it I would not have wasted money or product.

My first impression of this face mask was that even though it is a little packet, you do get a lot of product in it. You can get around 3-4 face masks out of this if you use it evenly, which I found great. Because you can get more then one use out of this packet and it is obliviously not reseable. I suggest folding the top over and holding it with a clip or putting it into an empty container to stop it from drying out.

The product is not messy,  as it is a clay mask it is a thick consitensy which is easily spreadable on the skin. It dries quite fast and it goes lighter when it is fully dry so you know when to wash it off. When on the skin it is not harsh and when drying it can itch a little but that is all.

Once dried I took a face cloth, soaked it in water and wiped the mask off my skin. It was easy to remove which I like as nobody likes a face mask that is hard to remove and messy.

My skin felt really nice and smooth after using this, I thought my skin also looked nicer. My skin did not feel irritable after using this face mask and I just put my favourite moisturiser on after taking the mask off.

I would recommend buying if you are looking for a new face mask to try as you can buy the small packet to try it out and then if you like it you can buy the bigger tub.

This product is £1.59 in ASDA and you can find the full products on the NSPA website here.

Have you tried out any of NSPA products?
What is your favourite face mask?

Clinique – Airbrush Concealer All Skin Types | Review

Clinique – Airbrush Concealer All Skin Types | Review

Product Description

Clinique Airbrush Concealer is a light reflecting makeup must-have. Not only does it hide shadows but it also illuminates and perfects your complexion and eye area. What are you waiting for? Get Airbrushed now!

Instantly helps soften the look of fine lines and wrinkles. Light-diffusing optics brighten shadows and other imperfections. Creamy-light formula in a flow-through applicator for smooth brush-ons. Ophthalmologist Tested.

How To Use

Use this flow-thru pen with a brush applicator to airbrush where required, then blend.

PicMonkey Collage8.jpg

Previous from my other Clinique blog post, I also picked up this Clinique Airbrush Concealer. The sales assistant at Clinique also chose the colour that matched my skin colour perfectly and also tried this on my under eyes as well as a few blemishes to see what I thought of it before buying it.

This is the one of the great things I love about Clinique is that they will happily match you up to the products, try it out on you and let you walk around for a while with whatever product you are testing on to see if you like it.

This Airbrushed Concealer is a lightweight concealer that is light to medium coverage. When I put it on my under eyes it not only makes my dark circles less visible but it also brightens the area as well. It helps cover blemishes and redness well without leaving your skin cakey.

I have worn this on long days out and also in hot weather and it has not run or come off which is great. The brush applicator lets you easily place the product in the are which is needed, I then like to blend it in with my Real Techniques Stippling brush.

The only bad thing about this concealer is you can not tell when it is running out!
