Elegant Touch Matte Nails – Michelle Indigo
‘Inspired by the latest runway trends, these gorgeous nails will stay dramatic & strong the entire wear, with a long-lasting, smudge-free and chip-free finish.’

I love painting my nails but they can easily chip or my nails break as they are quite thin. So over the past few months I have been getting my nails done. But since it’s around christmas time and I am a student, I’m on a very tight budget which means I can’t treat myself to getting my nails done.

For a cheaper alternative I deiced to try out the Elegant Touch nails. There was an offer in Boots when I picked these up. It was a 3 for 2 on a whole range of products. I only deiced to pick up one box of nails because I have never used them before and I didn’t know what they would be like. But now I wish I would have gotten more!

I picked up the Michelle nails because I liked the indigo matt shade and the oval shaped nails.

This is the first time I have applied false nails and to begin with, It was quite hard to do but once I did one hand I got the hang of it. This may sound stupid but applying false nails to yourself is quite hard as I managed to nearly glue my finger to my nail once or twice!

For £6.95 you get instructions, a nail file, glue and lots of nails!

You can find these Michelle nails here.
Boots also stock a whole range of Elegant Touch nails in different colours and nail styles.

How To Apply
IMG_2979

I made sure before I started to apply the nails that I had removed any nail varnish from my nails.
I then found the right size nail for each nail on both hands.
I laid the nails out in front of me so It was easy for me to grab them and match them too the right nail.
I started with my pinky finger and applied glue to my nail, then pressed down for 40 seconds.
I then repeated this step on all my nails.

What I liked about these nails:

  • How thin they are because they stick to your nails better and don’t let any dirt go in between your nails and the false nail.
  • The colour is gorgeous and the shape is natural looking.
  • The affordable price of these nails.
  • They last a few weeks if you look after them

What I disliked about these nails:

  • Because they are quite thin, you have to be careful not to accidentally bend them.
  • Some of the nails are a little bit big for me as I only have small hands/nails so these don’t get used.

Overall I am so pleased and happy with how these nails turned out and how long they have lasted! I’m glad you get a lot of glue and some spare nails too. I will be stocking up on these nails as they are so affordable and last a long time and they look so natural and gorgeous!

Deep Cleanse Your Hair | TRESemme Review

IMG_2703

Your hair goes through a lot. You apply numerous amounts of products to it, you wash it with shampoo and conditioner that can weigh it down.
So every once a week/month your hair deserves a deep cleanse.
Just make sure after you use these products you also use a shampoo that is moisturising and helps replenish your hair as these shampoos can strip your hair from them while you use them to strip build up of oils and products.

Also if you dye your hair this shampoo can strip some colour out of it.

What Is A Deep Cleanse?
A deep cleanse for you hair is like a deep cleanse for your face. It helps remove all the build up and daily grime from your hair.
So all the product build up that may be weighing your hair down is washed away and your hair is left product free.

Why Use Deep Cleansing Shampoo?

Professional quality formula clarifies hair to remove build up and residues restoring your hair’s natural vitality. This multi-vitamin formula, gentle enough for daily use, intensely purifies to give that salon fresh feeling.

TRESemme Cleanse & Renew Shampoo

I spent ages looking online and in shops to try to find a good deep clean shampoo.
I came across the TRESemme shampoo in SuperDrug and decided to give it a go. It comes in this HUGE bottle which will get a lot of use out as I won’t be using it every day.
I like to use it once a month to make sure my hair gets a really good deep clean and all the product build gets removed.
After I had applied it to my hair and was rinsing it out my hair already felt so much nicer and less weight down.

When I first used this shampoo I noticed how much it lathers into your hair, so a small amount goes a long way.
It smells like the typical TRESemme product so the smell isn’t overpowering or strong.
I did google reviews on this product before using it and I found so many positive reviews.

I will be trying out other deep cleansing hair shampoos but up to know, TRESemme is my favourite as it works so well and it’s also affordable.

If you have oily hair its a good shampoo for an everyday use, just make sure you have a good conditioner to pair with it.

Maybelline | Master Ink Eyeliner

I have had this eyeliner for just over a week, It’s hands down the best eyeliner I have purchased!
The brush is perfect for doing fine lines and creating a winged eyeliner look. The thin brush makes it easy to create either a thick or thin eyeliner line. If your new to applying eyeliner you will be able to apply it easily with this brush.
I use most days when I wear eyeliner and i prefer this over all my other liquid eyeliners.

A full review on this product will be up next Sunday!
So if you want to know more about this eyeliner make sure you check it out.

I can’t find this product online but I know you can pick it up in Superdrug.
It’s around £5.

Maybelline | Brow Satin

I have been searching for a good eye brow pencil/ powder for a while and I picked this up brow product up with the eyeliner.
It is perfect for lightly filling in your brows naturally!
It has two sides on the Browtastic, one side has the pencil and the other has a powder applicator.

The pencil is perfect for lightly filling in the sparse area of your brows and the powder helps blend everything together for a more even, natural look.  I got the shade Medium Brown which is perfect shade for my brows.
