Get Ready With Me | Minimal Makeup, Hair Care & Skin Care

 Get Ready With MePicMonkey Collage3

Hello fellow bloggers & readers,
I thought I would do something a little different today. Instead of doing a post on skin care or makeup,
I decided I would make a little ‘Get Ready With Me’ video.

I’m going to go more into detail in this blog post.

I hope you liked this little video, I might start doing more blog posts like this with little videos to change things up a little.

Hair Care

If you want to know my full hair care routine I made a blog post and a video about it a few months ago.
My Hair Care Routine

My hair care routine is pretty basic, I don’t tend to change products that often.

Shampoo – LOreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil
£3.99
This is hands down my favourite shampoo as it has helped my hair so much when it was bleached and badly damaged.
It doesn’t weigh my hair down or make it look greasy.
If you bleach your hair or have damaged hair I recommend this product.

Hair Oil – LOreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil
£9.99
If you read my blog you will know how much I talk about this product. It never lets me down, this product also saved my over dyed, damaged hair at the beginning of the year. It is a little pricey but it lasts for ages! You only need one to two pumps of the oil and it spreads though the hair. It doesn’t leave your hair greasy or weighed down.

Spilt End Treatment – Umberto Giannini Mend My Hair
£7.99

This product also saved my damaged hair and also helps reduce spilt ends. It’s a 5-1 hair oil which helps repair your hair. I only use this product at the ends of my hair as I use the LOreal product all over.

Hair Brush – Tangle Teezer
£10.99
This is a lot of money for a  hairbrush, but it actually does what it says it will.
It helps get all the knots and tangles out of my hair without it hurting. If you use a normal brush and then use this, you will notice a huge difference between the two!
I highly recombined this hair brush.

H&M Beauty | First Impressions & Review

H&M Beauty | First Impressions & Review

IMG_2634

If you know me, you know I’m a HUGE fan of H&M and whenever I buy clothes 90% are from this shop.
So when I found out they had brought out a Beauty range I grabbed my laptop and made an order.

If I’m honest I am quite surprised with the range of beauty items they have brought out. I was expecting just some nail polish and lipsticks but they literally have EVERYTHING you will need for a full face of make up, pamper items and shower/bath essentials. They also have make-up brushes, perfume and make-up bags!
What more could you ask for.

On the site they even have little videos to show you how to apply the makeup and what makeup looks you can create. I liked this as if your new to make-up or not as confident wearing/applying it, it helps you step by step on how to apply it and a few tips and tricks.

I didn’t buy a lot as my nearest store is in Liverpool which is a long train ride away and I didn’t have the time to go and test them out. So I bought some bits on the online site I knew I would like.

I have had this package for a week now and wanted to make sure I tested these products out before putting up this review so it was 100% honest.

Nail Polish | Russet Spice

I love the packaging of the Nail polishes and the colour range! There are so colours and shades to choose from, I ended up getting this Coppery Orange colour as we are getting closer to winter and I thought it would be a nice winter colour.

The colour is so pigmented and looks lovely in every light! It has a slight glittery shimmer to it which makes it look even nicer in the sun.

It stayed on my nails for around 6 days before chipping and that was without a top coat! I was impressed.

The only thing I don’t like about this Nail Polish is the brush. The brush is quite big and the brush bristles aren’t all together. But I can’t really complain as it’s cheaper than a lot of nail polishes.

The Nail Polishes range from £3.99 – £4.99

Eyebrow Kit | Caramel

I’ve been looking for a powder eyebrow kit for a while now but haven’t found one I really liked. I purchased a shade lighter by accident but it still blends in with my eyebrows and looks a lot more natural.

This kit is compact and easy to carry around with you, It also comes with two eyebrow colours (A light one and a darker one) and a wax to set your brows into place. The powder isn’t very pigmented but blends into your brows naturally.

The only downside to this Eyebrow kit is it does not come with a brush to apply the powder with. Luckily I have eyebrow brushes, But if you don’t just make sure when you buy this product you also buy an eyebrow brush.

This kit costs £5.99

Lipstick Pencil |  Bonne Vivante

I have been wearing a lot more lipsticks lately so I had a look at the ones H&M did and two caught my eye.

This first was this Lipstick Pencil in the shade Bonne Vivante which is this beautiful your lips but nicer colour! It looks great with pale skin and it also is a perfect shade for day and night!

This Lipstick is defiantly not a pencil it is more of a pigmented chubby stick, it’s very moisturising and pigmented.

I’ve been wearing this for the past few days and its very moisturising on the lips, it’s also very pigmented so you can either build it up or down.

If you are eating and drinking it can rub off your lips quite fast but if you’re not it stays on your lips for a long time without you having to re apply it constantly throughout the day.

The only thing I didn’t like about this product and I would change is that once you’ve used all the lipstick pencil up you can’t twist the bottom to get more. So you only have a certain amount of lip pencil to use before you need to go and repurchase it again.

I was so pleased with this Lipstick Pencil I’m defiantly going to repurchase it and try out their other shades!

This Lipstick Pencil is £4.99

Hair Products For Stronger, Healthier Hair | 2015

IMG_2343

After trying out a lot of different shampoo’s and hair masks I have finally found 3 products that have done wonders to my hair. These three products have made my hair look and feel stronger and more thicker.

Around 2 months ago I bleached my hair from black to a reddish brown. This took bleaching my hair 3 times, dying it once and 3 and a half hours of sitting in a chair. After all this my hair as you can imagine was damaged and weak so for the past two months I have used a hair mask once a week.

The other day I got my roots touched up and my hair dresser said how much better my hair looked and felt, this was down to these three products that I can’t live without.

Hair Mask

Hair Mask | Aussie 3 Minute Miracle

‘Our unique formula, with Australian Balm Mint, helps mend split ends and roughened cuticles. It helps transform dry, damaged hair into manageable and shiny locks in just 3 minutes. Australian Balm Mint. This nourishing treatment gets to work fast on damaged hair, repairing and smoothing rough cuticles, restoring manageability and shine.’

The day after I had my hair bleached and dyed I went to Asda and picked up a hair mask. I was recommended this and it has to be the best hair mask I have tried!

Let me just say it smells AMAZING!

I have used Aussie shampoo’s and I loved the smell of those too. I have never tried their hair masks so I didn’t really know what to expect from this mask. After the first use my hair already felt in a better condition and also smelt amazing! After using it for a around 5 weeks now my hair feels so much stronger and looks a lot more healthier.

I like to use it once a week. I run it through my hair making sure all my hair has the product on, then tie my hair up and leave it for a good 10-20 minutes then I rinse it all out.

The only downside of this product is the packaging. It comes in a bottle where you squeeze it to come out like many other hair products but this does not have a lid. Which means it is not ideal for traveling, I travel from my house to my dads and to uni and I like to take this mask with me but it means being extra careful where I put it incase it spills in my bag or case.

You can pick this up in most shops, you can also find it online here.
This product is £4.99.

Maybelline Matte Maker Powder & Real Techniques Expert Face Brush |Review

review3

Hello Beauty Bloggers & readers,
The UK has been having such lovely weather and I have been making the most of it sat outside enjoying the sun and reading!

I went to Superdrug with my two friends to pass the time and to browse at the make up. I wanted to find a  face powder that helped even out my skin tone a little and that I could wear on days where I did not want to put foundation on my skin. My friend recommended me this Maybelline powder.

review1

Maybelline – Matte Maker Mattifying Powder

‘Matte Maker all-day powder, Maybelline’s face powder with millions of powerful mattifying particles! Instantly absorbs oil and blends seamlessly with your skins tone and texture, for a perfectly flawless matte finish.’

This powder is light/medium coverage, I think it’s best over a foundation to help look more matte then dewy. But you can still put this powder on your face without foundation for a little bit more cover on your skin. This powder helps reduce the look of my under eye bags and also helps even out my skin tone just a little. It feels nice and smooth on the skin and applies well, The colour I picked up matches to my skin perfectly and you can’t really tell you have powder on as it does not leave you skin looking caked. The more I use this powder the more it grows on me.
