L’Oreal Elvive – Dream Lengths

L’Oreal Elvive brought out the Dream Lengths hair collection a while back. It is for achieving long hair without the breakage and spilt ends. A few years ago I ended up chopping my hip length hair to just below my shoulders as I killed the ends with bleaching it in my ombre phase.

Ever since then my hair has just not wanted to grow back to that length and I miss having long hair. While using the Lee Stafford Hair Growth collection it has helped my hair grow longer but my hair still gets so knotty and I still get a lot of spilt ends.

I came across this shampoo in Asda, I had seen the adverts for it and thought perfect, I will try this range as I really want my hip length hair back without the hassle.

Product Details

Dreaming of beautiful long hair but struggling to achieve your dream lengths?

The longer your hair gets, the more it goes through and the more damaged it becomes. Split ends appear and you feel like you need to trim your tips. What if  you could protect your hair and help reinforce its lengths?

Our creamy, caring shampoo is enriched with a cocktail of Keratin, Vitamins and Castor Oil. The formula cleanses and helps to reinforce the hair. It helps to protect against breakage and reduces the appearance of split ends.

How To Use

Apply to wet hair, massage into a lather and then rinse. Follow with L’Oreal Elvive Dream Lengths Long Hair Conditioner.

Review

I have been using this product since March and have just finished the bottle.

I do not really like the smell of this product, it is not the nicest shampoo of their Elvive collection I have smelt but it does the job it says it will do so I can’t complain on the scent of this shampoo.

My hair is not as knotty as it normally is, I used to go out to work and come back home to find a knot had formed in the back of my hair and it was so painful and annoying to get these knots out, even using a wet brush. (Fine hair problems)

Since using this shampoo my hair is less knotty! I can even brush through it when its wet! Something I used to dread. It might not be the shampoo making my hair easy to comb through but its the product I’ve been using for months now so I am putting it down to that. So that is a huge plus to this shampoo as when your hair gets longer it gets more knotty. So this is a perfect shampoo to use if you have long hair.

I still get spilt ends but not as many which is good! So I can go that bit longer without a hair cut! Also my hair has is growing a lot better now, its gotten past the ‘I can’t do anything with my hair’ length stage! I think this is down to the shampoo plus it being paired with the Lee Stafford Hair Growth Range.

Overall

Overall I really like this shampoo and I would like to try out their other products in this range. I would buy this product again and use it while I am trying to achieve my Dream Length.

My friend Rachel has bought the conditioner and the hair mask so look out on her blog for her review of the product!

L’Oreal Pure Clay Facial Masks. For the first time, the L’Oréal Paris laboratories have selected three pure clays and combined them with charcoal, which acts like a magnet to draw out impurities. The creamy texture detoxifies the skin’s surface by cleansing deep into the pores, leaving the skin looking clarified and beautified without drying it out.

 Review

This clay face mask has a very thick constancy, Because it is a thick constancy a little goes a long way with this face mask which I like as you do not have to use a lot of the mask. It also applies evenly.

You leave this mask on for around 5-10 minutes, after this time you can feel it dry and become a little tighter on the skin. After it has dried, you can see your pores so you know it has deep cleansed your skin. To take this off, you take a  flannel or muslin cloth and soak it in warm water then just use it to wipe the mask off your skin. It comes off easily and mess free which is perfect. After using this face mask my face felt so smooth and more awake. I also felt my pores were not as bad as before but not fully gone.

After working for a few days I find this face mask perfect as it really gets all the dirt and grime out of my skin. It refreshes and makes my skin feel so much better so I use this face mask once a week to give my face a good deep cleanse and  refresh it.

What is perfect about this face mask is that you can use it all over the skin for a full face deep cleanse or you can just apply it too areas of the face that need a little detox. For example, a lot of the time I will just apply it too my nose or my forehead and leave for 5-10 minutes then rinse, as these are the areas of my face that get spotty and need a little detox.

Packaging

I find the packaging of this L’Oreal face mask as it looks and feels more expensive than it is. It also holds a lot of product so you get a lot of uses out of this.

IMG_3424.JPGOverall

Overall I really like this face mask and I would defiantly purchase again as well as trying out the other facemasks from this range. I find it a good, affordable mask that you can use a lot on different areas of the face.

On the packaging it does say 10 applications but I think you can get a lot more applications from this product.

This product is £7.99in Boots and you can find it in stores or online here.

Maybelline Master Ink & Brow Satin |Review

Maybelline Master Ink & Brow Satin | Review

IMG_2681

I purchased these two products in Superdrug two weeks ago. In those two weeks since purchasing I have tried and tested these two products and they have found a place into my makeup bag.
I wanted to try out a new eyebrow product and came across the Maybelline eyebrow product range.
I then also decided to try out their liquid eyeliner and picked up the Master Ink.

Maybelline Brow Satin

‘Get natural looking full brows, with our new brow duo.’

I decided to get the Brow Satin because it has a pencil at one end and a powder at the other.
So you get two products in one that work well together.

First I use the pencil side to lightly fill in any sparse areas of my brow. Then I go in with the powder to help blend the products together to give a more natural look to my eyebrows. I love the colour range of this product as the shade I chose ‘Medium Brown’ blends in with my natural brow colour perfectly. It also lasts throughout the day and does not fade.

The pencil is not hard or harsh on the brows and you can easily blend or wipe it away without any fuss. The powder applicator is the right size for filling in the brows. You can slowly build up however much product you want, so you can have a natural brow look or a more defined look.

Do I think this is worth the money? Definitely.

It might not be everyone’s go to Eyebrow product, But I like it a lot and think its worth the money.

This product is £5.99 and you can find it here.

Maybelline Master Ink

‘Introducing Master Ink Liquid Eyeliner. Our first liquid liner with a Smart Tip brush for easy to draw, no mess lines with black carbon pigments for deep black intensity. Smudgeproof, Longwear formula. Available in 3 shades; Matte, Satin & Glitter’

This eyeliner has become my favourite daily eyeliner.

I am a big fan of this eyeliner tip. So when I opened it in the shop I knew I wanted to buy it.
This long thin tip makes it SO easy to apply eyeliner to your lid. You can make your eyeliner as thick or thin as you want.

This product is also perfect if you like doing a winged eyeliner look. In the morning I can quickly do my eyeliner without no hassle and quickly get out the door without having to keep wiping my mistakes away and reapplying.  This eyeliner also does not crease or spilt throughout the day. It stays on until you want it to come off.

I don’t have much to say about this product apart from that I really like it and I highly recommend it.

Do I think it’s worth the money? Yes!
I think its such a good, hassle free eyeliner that anyone can use.

This product is £4.99 and you can find it here.

There’s currently a ‘Buy one get the second half price’ On these two Maybelline products In Boots.

Have you tried these products? What’s your opinion on them?

No7 Advent Calendar – Day 7

christmas

IMG_1248

Day 7 of the No7 advent calendar

No7 Stay Perfect Eye Shadow Trio Good Earth (The Middle One)

‘No7 Stay Perfect Eyeshadow Trio delivers high impact colour. Blends effortlessly and lasts for hours.’

Todays little gift is this amazing eye shadow! It’s like a bronze colour and it comes out this beautiful shimmery rose gold/bronze colour on your lids (I’m rubbish at describing colours). It’s so subtle yet so nice on the lids and you can wear it on its own or add more colours for a smokey eye. I’m going to be wearing this over christmas as its such a nice simple colour and it stands out. I’s very pigmented and build able. I tried to take a photo this eye shadow on the skin but because it’s very dull outside it wasn’t coming up well on the camera.

You can pick this up from boots for £9.50 here

Champneys – Gentle Conditioning Toner
I absolutely love this toner and its so gentle on the skin and makes your face feel so smooth! I’ve only just turned back to use it recently as I’ve been using my Tea Tree Toner from Lush. It smells so nice and you only need one cotton pad to tone your whole face.
You can pick this up from boots for £7.50

Umberto Giannini – Mend My Hair
My hair has been so damaged lately at the ends and I’ve been using this after washing my hair and it’s helping my spilt ends look less horrible. I use two pumps after washing my hair and spread it evenly throughout my ends then i blow dry.
You can pick this up from boots for £7.99

L’Oreal Elvive – Extraordinary Oil
This product is just WOW! My sister lent it to me as my ends are so badly damaged and after one use my hair feels and looks so much nicer! I’m doing a little review on this product as I’ve been raving about it since i tried it out so keep a look out for that.

No7 Advent Calendar – Day 2

christmas

day2

Day 2 of the No7 advent calendar

No7 High Shine Lip Crayon

‘Provides a gorgeous glossy lip colour in a crayon format which is really easy to wear.’

When i first opened the little advent door i thought ‘oh no this isn’t going to suit me’ i put the lip crayon on and it’s such a subtle yet nice colour and gives a ‘your lips but better’ colour! I don’t wear lipstick as my lips get dry easily and I’m forever putting lip balm on them but I’m defiantly going to wear this over the christmas period! I’m surprised by how much i love the shade as it’s not too in your face and looks so nice against skin colour. You don’t get much lip crayon but when i run out i will be repurchasing it, i also looked at boots and theirs a few shades I’ve seen that i like so fingers crossed there’s another one in the advent calendar! This lip crayon is not too drying on your lips as I’ve worn it today while at uni and it just feels like a lip balm but with colour.

I think this is in the shade ‘Daydreamer’

You can pick this up at boots for £9

No7 Advent Calendar

christmas

PicMonkey Collage4

My sister bought me the No7 advent calendar and I’m so excited to open a little gift everyday rather than a chocolate! I will be posting a blog post every day with the product i get and a mini review. Hopefully you won’t get bored with a mini blog post a day but i will try to make it short and interesting.

Hopefully if you’re wanting to buy this advent calendar it will help you decide if you want to take the leap and pay £35.

Did anyone else get a non chocolate advent calendar?
What advent calendar did you get? I also go a frozen chocolate one :’)
