Garnier SkinActive – Moisture Bomb|Tissue Mask

If you know me, you will probably know how much I love these tissue masks from Garner! I always highly recommend them to friends and family and give them as gifts for pamper days.
So when I found out they had brought out two new ones I had to try them out as I love the blue one (Super-Hydrating) a lot!

I find these a nice once a week face mask as they are not heavy on the skin nor do they dry your skin out. I normally use them at the end of the week to put back moisture in my skin, especially if I have been working a lot in the week as my skin dries out quick and wearing makeup can make my skin dry.

Unmask smoother, bouncier, healthier looking skin in just 15 minutes. Applied to the face, it acts like a hydration wrap that continuously diffuses all the effectiveness of the serum intensely hydrating your skin. Its amazing freshness quenches and comforts skin instantly, for a pure moment of absolute pampering. The mask is easy to apply and remove. Suitable for all skin types, even sensitive.

Garnier SkinActive – Moisture Bomb | Daily Moisturiser & Tissue Mask Review

Garnier SkinActive – Moisture Bomb | Daily Moisturiser & Tissue Mask Review

Now it is getting a lot colder in the UK, my skin is in more need of moisturiser as the cold makes my skin so dry. I have been looking for a good moisturiser that lasts throughout the day and makes my skin feel hydrated.

I came across the Garnier Skin Active Tissue mask in Boots and after seeing a lot of bloggers talking about it and because I am a huge fan of face masks I decided to give it a go.
Because I found the Tissue Mask such a good moisture mask that made my skin feel so hydrated, I decided to see what their day moisturiser was like.

This blog post will be quite a long one as I will be talking about both the Tissue Mask and Daily Moisturiser.

Super-hydrating revitalising mask for dehydrated skin. Intensely rehydrates skin, reduces the look of fine lines, and revives radiance. Enriched with pomegranate extract, hyaluronic acid, and plant serum.

Is Garnier Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask right for me?

Yes, if your skin is dehydrated, shows the effects of time and your lifestyle (dullness, irregularities, fine lines…), and if you are looking for an effective solution to rehydrate and revitalise the radiance of your skin.

How is it different?

This super hydrating tissue mask, inspired by Asia, diffuses the equivalent level of hydrating serum as per 1 week’s use of day care.* Truly innovative, its ultra-thin tissue is infused with a super-hydrating serum. Unmask smoother, bouncier, healthier looking skin in just 15 minutes. Its amazing freshness quenches and comforts skin instantly, for a pure moment of absolute pampering. The mask is easy to apply and remove. Suitable for all skin types, even sensitive.

Review

The Tissue Mask comes in a foil packet and contains one mask.
On the back of the packet it has instructions on how to use the tissue mask and how long to apply it for.

How To Use

1. Unfold the mask. Carefully apply the white tissue to thoroughly cleansed skin. Make sure the blue protective film is facing outwards. Smooth the mask gently to ensure contact with the skin.

2. Remove the protective film.

3. Adjust the mask contours on the face. Leave for 15 minutes.

4. To remove the mask, peel off slowly from the edges. Gently massage in any excess serum, or use a cotton pad to remove.

I found the actual mask a bit messy at first, I did not think it would be filled of product. It is also very cold on the skin but after a while it becomes quite soothing. It can also be a bit fiddly trying to get the protective film off.

I like to use this tissue mask twice a week as I can get quite dry skin, especially wearing makeup for work for long hours. I normally apply the mask after washing my hair and when I have a good film on so I can relax more.

When removing the mask I like to take the mask and rub the remaining product into my skin and then letting the product dry.

The holes in the mask are big enough to go around your eyes, nose and mouth. It is not greasy either so leaves your skin feeling very moisturised.

After the first use I felt my skin was so much more hydrated and looked more brighter and  the finish dewy looking. It is such a great mask to put on for 15 minutes as it is not drying like most face masks and not as half as messy!

I highly recommend this tissue mask if you have very dry skin or would just like to hydrate your skin a little. I keep recommending this mask to my friends and family as it has become my new favourite.

It is also £0.99 in Boots so I have been stocking up on them while they are currently on offer.

It is great value for money and does the job perfectly.

This product is originally £1.49 and you can find it in most stores or online at Boots here.

Is Moisture Bomb 3-in-1 Moisturiser right for me?

Yes, if your skin is dehydrated, shows the effects of time and your lifestyle (dullness, irregularities, fine lines…) and you seek a care that efficiently hydrates and leaves it feeling protected.

 Review

This moisturiser comes in a round, small bottle. You do not need a lot of product as a little goes a long way, unless you need a bit more moisture on some days.

3

How To Use

Apply one or two pea-sized amounts of Moisture Bomb 3-in-1 Moisturiser on clean, dry skin daily. Avoid the eye area. In case of contact with eyes, rinse them immediately and thoroughly. For best results, cleanse your skin beforehand.

I cleanse my face with the Garnier Skin Active Micellar Cleansing Water before applying the Moisture Bomb Moisturiser. I then wait for it to dry before applying my concealer and powder, it makes my skin and makeup look a lot less dry and it lasts throughout the day.

It also makes my skin feel so smooth and hydrated. It does not really have a smell to it which I like as I am not a fan of perfumed moisturiser.
This moisturiser is so light weight and melts and sinks into your skin, I use one pump to cover my whole face.

I have been using this for just over 2 weeks now and I love this moisturiser so much as it is not at all greasy or heavy on my skin.

I will add it is quite expensive for how little you get but I think it is worth the price.

This product is £7.99 and can find it in most stores and online in Boots here.

I will be buying the Night Cream to complete the Moisture Bomb range.
I would like to point out this isn’t a sponsored blog post, I just really like this skin care range.

Have you tried any of the Garnier Moisture Bomb skin care range?

Review

I decided to pick this up and give it ago as the colder weather has made my skin so dry! I needed a product that would help moisturise and cleanse without drying my skin.

This was on offer for £2 in morrisons and because I got on so well with the Garnier Micellar Water, I decided to pick their toner up as well. I’ve been using this product for around 2 weeks now and I’ve really liked the product.
It’s very moistening which is great for the colder weather and it also cleanses your skin and gets rid of all the access oils and dirt without drying your skin out.
It’s easy to apply and sinks into your skin fast so you don’t have to wait around for it to dry.

IMG_2998.JPG

I’m impressed with this product as it has helped my dry skin and has made my skin look more hydrated and healthy. From the first use I already felt my skin felt hydrated and cleaner, It is also gentle on the skin which is great if you have sensitive skin.
This toner also has a nice, fresh smell to it.

To use, all you need to do is apply the product to a cotton pad and gently wipe your skin in circular motions.

I think this toner is amazing and worth a try and it is also amazing value for the product and the size of the bottle.

You can find this Garnier Toner here.

Maybelline | Master Ink Eyeliner

I have had this eyeliner for just over a week, It’s hands down the best eyeliner I have purchased!
The brush is perfect for doing fine lines and creating a winged eyeliner look. The thin brush makes it easy to create either a thick or thin eyeliner line. If your new to applying eyeliner you will be able to apply it easily with this brush.
I use most days when I wear eyeliner and i prefer this over all my other liquid eyeliners.

A full review on this product will be up next Sunday!

I can’t find this product online but I know you can pick it up in Superdrug.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water | Review

IMG_2625

‘A super efficient and gentle way to cleanse, remove makeup, soothe the feel of skin and hydrate in just one step – it’s not magic, it’s Garnier Micellar!

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water contains micelles which act like magnets, gently lifting away makeup and impurities from the skin, without the need to rub or rinse. The result?

Beautifully cleansed and refreshed feeling skin in an instant. The formula is suitable for the face, eye area and lips, has no perfume and comes in a generous 400ml size.’

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

I picked up the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water the other day in ASDA while I was shopping for University supplies. The small bottle was on offer for £1 and I decided to pick it up and try it because I had heard a lot of good reviews.

I picked up the small bottle as I wanted to try the product out and I did not want to pick up the large one incase I did not like it. The smaller bottle is perfect for travelling or taking with you when you stay over at a hotel or someones house.
The bottle fits in my makeup bag and it is easy to store and take with me to places.

Garnier have a few different Micellar Cleansing Waters.

 IMG_2628

The Micellar water does not have a perfume smell to it, which is good as I’m not a fan of perfumed face products as the smell tends to linger all day on the skin.

I have only used this product 4 times and I am already impressed with it.

I put the product on a cotton pad and wipe it across my skin and neck. It very lightweight and does not leave any residue on the skin. It also helped get rid of the makeup I had missed, It also cleansed my skin and hydrated it.
It saves a lot of time using this cleanser then other cleansers I own, you also don’t have to rinse or dry your face after using it.

This product is so gentle on the skin, it also does not feel as though it strips your skin it’s natural oils. It also does not leave your skin feeling greasy! It also does not irate the eyes which is great as you can use it all over your face and not have different products for different areas.

The product soaks into the cotton pad so you don’t need to use a lot, this makes it easier to wipe your face with the product on the cotton pad.

As this has no perfume in the product, I think any skin type can use this cleanser and not have to worry about it reacting to their skin.

How To Ombre Your Hair At Home

ombre

photo 3

I’ve been ombreing my hair for a few years now and i love how it looks in my hair. I’ve tried so many hair dye’s and i always go back to the same one. Garnier Nutrisse Pre Lightener you can find this in boots and superdrug. I love this product and don’t find it damaging unlike other bleaches.

whats in the box

      IMG_0798

In the box you get;

The Developer Creme

Pre Lightning Creme

2 Sachets of Lightning Powder

Conditioner

Pair of Gloves

Instructions

how to ombre

1. Brush your hair to get out any knots.

2. Choose where you want the ombre to start from ( I go from the chin)

3. Spilt your hair from your ears and clip half of it up.

4. Mix the Lightning Creme together (If you have dark hair i would use 2 sachets if you have light i would only use 1)

5. Start putting the product on the ends on your hair in little sections and rub in, work up your hair to  where you want it to start. Do this to each section on your hair.

6. After you’ve put the product all over your hair, go back through your hair and check your haven’t missed any strands of hair. Take the rest of the product and rub it into your hair and then put it in foil.

7. I leave it on for 20 minutes then check my hair, if its not as light as i want it to be i leave it on for another 20 minutes. Keep in mind the colour you see won’t be the colour it will turn out after you wash it, so if its really light it might be a couple shades darker when washed out.

8. Wash hair throughly and use the conditioner you got in the box. If you want you can use a hair mask because bleaching can damage your hair.

Before.after

photo 2 photo 1

This is what my hair looked like before i dyed it, my hair is black and after 40 minutes my ends are a nice gingery blonde colour. It looks nice and i think this hair trend won’t dye out any time soon. After ombreing your hair use hair masks and spilt end treatments just to help repair your hair.
