Get Ready With Me | Minimal Makeup, Hair Care & Skin Care

 Get Ready With MePicMonkey Collage3

Hello fellow bloggers & readers,
I thought I would do something a little different today. Instead of doing a post on skin care or makeup,
I decided I would make a little ‘Get Ready With Me’ video.

I’m going to go more into detail in this blog post.

I hope you liked this little video, I might start doing more blog posts like this with little videos to change things up a little.

Hair Care

If you want to know my full hair care routine I made a blog post and a video about it a few months ago.
My Hair Care Routine

My hair care routine is pretty basic, I don’t tend to change products that often.

Shampoo – LOreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil
£3.99
This is hands down my favourite shampoo as it has helped my hair so much when it was bleached and badly damaged.
It doesn’t weigh my hair down or make it look greasy.
If you bleach your hair or have damaged hair I recommend this product.

Hair Oil – LOreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil
£9.99
If you read my blog you will know how much I talk about this product. It never lets me down, this product also saved my over dyed, damaged hair at the beginning of the year. It is a little pricey but it lasts for ages! You only need one to two pumps of the oil and it spreads though the hair. It doesn’t leave your hair greasy or weighed down.

Spilt End Treatment – Umberto Giannini Mend My Hair
£7.99

This product also saved my damaged hair and also helps reduce spilt ends. It’s a 5-1 hair oil which helps repair your hair. I only use this product at the ends of my hair as I use the LOreal product all over.

Hair Brush – Tangle Teezer
£10.99
This is a lot of money for a  hairbrush, but it actually does what it says it will.
It helps get all the knots and tangles out of my hair without it hurting. If you use a normal brush and then use this, you will notice a huge difference between the two!
I highly recombined this hair brush.

Maybelline Master Ink & Brow Satin |Review

Maybelline Master Ink & Brow Satin | Review

IMG_2681

I purchased these two products in Superdrug two weeks ago. In those two weeks since purchasing I have tried and tested these two products and they have found a place into my makeup bag.
I wanted to try out a new eyebrow product and came across the Maybelline eyebrow product range.
I then also decided to try out their liquid eyeliner and picked up the Master Ink.

Maybelline Brow Satin

‘Get natural looking full brows, with our new brow duo.’

I decided to get the Brow Satin because it has a pencil at one end and a powder at the other.
So you get two products in one that work well together.

First I use the pencil side to lightly fill in any sparse areas of my brow. Then I go in with the powder to help blend the products together to give a more natural look to my eyebrows. I love the colour range of this product as the shade I chose ‘Medium Brown’ blends in with my natural brow colour perfectly. It also lasts throughout the day and does not fade.

The pencil is not hard or harsh on the brows and you can easily blend or wipe it away without any fuss. The powder applicator is the right size for filling in the brows. You can slowly build up however much product you want, so you can have a natural brow look or a more defined look.

Do I think this is worth the money? Definitely.

It might not be everyone’s go to Eyebrow product, But I like it a lot and think its worth the money.

This product is £5.99 and you can find it here.

Maybelline Master Ink

‘Introducing Master Ink Liquid Eyeliner. Our first liquid liner with a Smart Tip brush for easy to draw, no mess lines with black carbon pigments for deep black intensity. Smudgeproof, Longwear formula. Available in 3 shades; Matte, Satin & Glitter’

This eyeliner has become my favourite daily eyeliner.

I am a big fan of this eyeliner tip. So when I opened it in the shop I knew I wanted to buy it.
This long thin tip makes it SO easy to apply eyeliner to your lid. You can make your eyeliner as thick or thin as you want.

This product is also perfect if you like doing a winged eyeliner look. In the morning I can quickly do my eyeliner without no hassle and quickly get out the door without having to keep wiping my mistakes away and reapplying.  This eyeliner also does not crease or spilt throughout the day. It stays on until you want it to come off.

I don’t have much to say about this product apart from that I really like it and I highly recommend it.

Do I think it’s worth the money? Yes!
I think its such a good, hassle free eyeliner that anyone can use.

This product is £4.99 and you can find it here.

There’s currently a ‘Buy one get the second half price’ On these two Maybelline products In Boots.

Have you tried these products? What’s your opinion on them?

Maybelline | Master Ink Eyeliner

I have had this eyeliner for just over a week, It’s hands down the best eyeliner I have purchased!
The brush is perfect for doing fine lines and creating a winged eyeliner look. The thin brush makes it easy to create either a thick or thin eyeliner line. If your new to applying eyeliner you will be able to apply it easily with this brush.
I use most days when I wear eyeliner and i prefer this over all my other liquid eyeliners.

A full review on this product will be up next Sunday!

I can’t find this product online but I know you can pick it up in Superdrug.
It’s around £5.

It is perfect for lightly filling in your brows naturally!
It has two sides on the Browtastic, one side has the pencil and the other has a powder applicator.

The pencil is perfect for lightly filling in the sparse area of your brows and the powder helps blend everything together for a more even, natural look.  I got the shade Medium Brown which is perfect shade for my brows.

Maybelline Matte Maker Powder & Real Techniques Expert Face Brush |Review

review3

Hello Beauty Bloggers & readers,
The UK has been having such lovely weather and I have been making the most of it sat outside enjoying the sun and reading!

I went to Superdrug with my two friends to pass the time and to browse at the make up. I wanted to find a  face powder that helped even out my skin tone a little and that I could wear on days where I did not want to put foundation on my skin. My friend recommended me this Maybelline powder.

review1

Maybelline – Matte Maker Mattifying Powder

‘Matte Maker all-day powder, Maybelline’s face powder with millions of powerful mattifying particles! Instantly absorbs oil and blends seamlessly with your skins tone and texture, for a perfectly flawless matte finish.’

This powder is light/medium coverage, I think it’s best over a foundation to help look more matte then dewy. But you can still put this powder on your face without foundation for a little bit more cover on your skin. This powder helps reduce the look of my under eye bags and also helps even out my skin tone just a little. It feels nice and smooth on the skin and applies well, The colour I picked up matches to my skin perfectly and you can’t really tell you have powder on as it does not leave you skin looking caked. The more I use this powder the more it grows on me.

Maybelline Fit Me Foundation – Review

Maybelline Fit Me Foundation

Maybelline Fit Me Foundation

I haven’t worn foundation in ages and came across this under my sink where i store all my beauty products. I decided to try it out as my skin is being awful due to the weather constantly changing. I applied moisturiser and let it dry into my skin, i then pumped one pump of the foundation on the back of my hand and then took the Real Techniques Stippling brush and applied it to my face. It goes on your face nicely and does not feel greasy or drying. It instantly made my face look better and covered my blemishes and under eye bags.

This foundation aims to:

•No oils, no waxes, no-nonsense

•Natural coverage that leaves skin the way it was meant to be…fresh, breathing, natural

•Exclusive translucent base and lightweight pigments allow skin’s natural highs and lows to show through

•Non-comedogenic, dermatologist-tested

In the pictures above (that are not that clear sorry) you can see the foundation matches my skin and blends in well so it does not look like I’m wearing any. I have the Fit Me foundation in 115 and i also use the Fit Me Powder  in 125 which go well together and helps lock the foundation into place. I wore this all day at uni and i didn’t need to touch it up and it stayed in place the entire time which i was happy about.

The Fit Me foundation is £7.99
and the Fit Me powder is £5.99

I think for the price you are paying its worth this product and I’m defiantly going to buy it again.

What are your favourite drug store foundations?

Make Up Routine And Products

beauty3

beauty1

I rarely wear makeup but when i do this is what i use and these are my go to products. I use two eyeliner’s and I use the Real Techniques stippling brush to apply my powder and foundation.

beauty2

Face;

Botanics – 3 in 1 Cleansing Solution
This cleanser is good at cleaning makeup off your skin and also using as a toner, you can buy this for boots and i have a full review on this product on another post.

Champneys – Moisturising Day Cream
This is hands down my favourite moisturizer and i also have the night cream, it’s light on your skin and doesn’t leave it feeling oily and it sinks straight into your skin so you don’t have to wait for it to dry.

L’Oreal – Nude Magique
I don’t wear foundation so I went out on a whim and purchased this a while ago and because its like a powder more than a foundation it isn’t oily looking. It blends into your skin so easily, because its like a powder but its a foundation it covers all your blemishes and leaves skin looking even.

Maybelline – Fit Me Powder
This is my favourite powder, it’s quite a light powder but you can build it up on your skin and gives your skin a nice healthy look.

Eyebrows:

Seventeen – Brow’s That!
I use this to fill in my eyebrows and its a good cheap product, it not too dark so you can build the colour up.

Eyes:

Collection 2000 – Fast Stroke Eyeliner
I use this eyeliner to fill in my winged out look, it stays in place all day and is an affordable eyeliner.

Natural Collection – Mascara
I love this mascara and it’s not fancy or pricy, it just does the job of making your lashes look longer and nicer.

L’Oreal – Super Liner
I use this eyeliner first as its gone a long fine tip and i use it to line my eyes and create the winged out look. It’s a cheap product for those on a budget and its so easy to apply!

Morning Routine

morning routine

IMG_0896

I don’t wear much makeup and i use different face washes/ moisturisers & toners so this is what I’m currently using at the moment as i tend to change my skin care routine as the weather changes.

IMG_0899

I use this face wash in the morning as my other scrub has ran out and i needed a new one, it also does the job and my my skin feel fresh and clean.

IMG_0888

I decided to try this Asda Young Skin as i needed a new moisturiser as i needed a new one and it was on offer. It does the job and is a cheap good moisturiser if you are on a budget.

IMG_0892

I like to use the L’Oreal skin perfection on my face before i use the Tea Tree Toner as it gets rid of the dirt that your face wash didn’t get and helps with spots.

IMG_0894

I love this Tea Tree Toner from Lush and use it every day, you can either spray it on your face or use a cotton pad to apply it.

IMG_0886

I purchased the Real Techniques Stippling Brush and i absolutely love it. It’s so soft on your face and put the right amount of product from the powder onto your face. They are pricy but if you wear makeup everyday its a good investment.

IMG_0882 IMG_0883

I sometimes like to fill my eyebrows in as i have sparse brows and it makes them appear a little thicker. I use the Seventeen Brows That it was around £4 from super drug when i bought it.

IMG_0884 IMG_0885

I use the Maybelline Fit Me Powder as it gives me the right amount of coverage.

IMG_0889

I love this Red Jeans scent and use it everyday.

I’m so happy its started to get cold and feel like winter as i can finally break out the brown nail polishes! My favourite one is this Nails inc inspired by Diet Coke.
