Get Ready With Me | Minimal Makeup, Hair Care & Skin Care

 Get Ready With MePicMonkey Collage3

Hello fellow bloggers & readers,
I thought I would do something a little different today. Instead of doing a post on skin care or makeup,
I decided I would make a little ‘Get Ready With Me’ video.

I’m going to go more into detail in this blog post.

I hope you liked this little video, I might start doing more blog posts like this with little videos to change things up a little.

Hair Care

If you want to know my full hair care routine I made a blog post and a video about it a few months ago.
My Hair Care Routine

My hair care routine is pretty basic, I don’t tend to change products that often.

Shampoo – LOreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil
£3.99
This is hands down my favourite shampoo as it has helped my hair so much when it was bleached and badly damaged.
It doesn’t weigh my hair down or make it look greasy.
If you bleach your hair or have damaged hair I recommend this product.

Hair Oil – LOreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil
£9.99
If you read my blog you will know how much I talk about this product. It never lets me down, this product also saved my over dyed, damaged hair at the beginning of the year. It is a little pricey but it lasts for ages! You only need one to two pumps of the oil and it spreads though the hair. It doesn’t leave your hair greasy or weighed down.

Spilt End Treatment – Umberto Giannini Mend My Hair
£7.99

This product also saved my damaged hair and also helps reduce spilt ends. It’s a 5-1 hair oil which helps repair your hair. I only use this product at the ends of my hair as I use the LOreal product all over.

Hair Brush – Tangle Teezer
£10.99
This is a lot of money for a  hairbrush, but it actually does what it says it will.
It helps get all the knots and tangles out of my hair without it hurting. If you use a normal brush and then use this, you will notice a huge difference between the two!
I highly recombined this hair brush.

Revlon Nearly Naked Powder & Colorstay Concealer | Review

revlonheader

These two Revlon products are not the newest but I got my hands on them a few months ago.
I really liked them so I thought I’d do a little review on them incase anyone else had their eyes on them and wanted to know what they are like.

I have had these two products for around 3 months now and have been testing them out so I can write an honest review on them.

Revlon Nearly Naked | Pressed Powder

‘Blends seamlessly with a lightweight feel
Evens skin tone
Provides a shine free, natural coverage’

I picked up this powder in the shade ‘010 Fair’ and I think it is a perfect colour match for my skin tone.
They don’t really have a huge colour section I think they only have around 4 shades which isn’t the best selection.
Needless to say the colour I picked up matches me perfect so I can’t complain.

This powder blends into my skin wonderfully and gives the appearance that I am not actually wearing any powder.
It is quick and easy to blend in and it is great if you are in a rush!

I apply this with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush as it helps blend the powder into my skin and gives me an even coverage and an even skin tone.

The Packaging

I like the white plastic packaging as it looks more expensive than it is.
It has a mirror on the inside which is great as you can use it while applying the product.
The two things I dislike are how long the product is as you can’t really throw it into your bag.
I prefer the circle pressed powder packaging.
The other thing I dislike is the sponge applicator you get with it as it falls out when you open the product and also gets really mucky if use it and you can’t really clean it so I threw mine away.

I think this powder ticks all the boxes on what it says it will do.
I use this most days and I think it is a good affordable powder.

This product is £7.99 and you can pick this up online here. Or find it in Boots or Superdrug.

Quick & Easy Makeup Routine | 2015

Here’s my ‘Quick & Easy’ Makeup look
When putting on makeup, I like it to be simple and lightweight. I mainly focus on my brows and eyes and only put concealer and powder/ foundation on days I need it most.

Today I went with just some concealer under my eyes, some pressed powder, subtle pink lips and some eyeliner to make my eyes stand out.

My skin is not working with me lately and I have been breaking out a lot more than usual so my skin isn’t perfect but doing face masks and not wearing foundation is helping get rid of them.

Let’s get on with what products I have one my face;

Clinique | Turnaround Daytime Revitalising Moisturiser

I first like to use a moisturiser, if it is warm outside it is best to put a moisturiser on that has some kind of sun protection. I use the Clinique Turnaround Daytime Revitalising Moisturiser. This is a lightweight moisture that helps hydrate my skin so it doesn’t get dry throughout the day.

This moisturiser also gives your skin a little bit of a glow, which is great if you don’t want to wear foundation.

I got this in a set with some other productions but the bigger tube of this is £30 and you can find it here.

Collection | Long Lasting Perfection Concealer.

Next I go in with my concealer, The concealer I use is the Collection Long Lasting Perfection Concealer.

I use this concealer under my eyes, around my nose and on any blemishes or redness on my face. This also helps brighten under your eyes.

The colour i got matched my skin perfectly and it makes it look like I don’t have any concealer on.

With this production I like to use the Real Techniques Stippling Brush, This just help me make sure the concealer is all nicely blended in to my skin.

I will be doing a separate blog post with my review on this concealer.

This concealer is £4.16 and you can find it here.

Clinique | Instant Lift For Brows

I just lightly brush this along my eyebrows to help create definition and make my eyebrows a little bolder. If you want to see my full review on this product, the link to my blog post is *here*.

This brow product is £16.00 and you can find it here.
